Junior year of high school we started a game like this. Coach’s rule was if you no-showed practice without a call, you sat the first period. Goalie no-showed, we lined up 6 on 5 and played that way the whole first period. Other team’s coach started chirping if we were gonna try a flying V next.
I don’t recall if we scored that first period, but I do know the other team definitely did not.

Rangers look like a band of strangers tonight. No chemistry no hustle, can’t get pick out of the zone, no defense. Very disappointing

This is going to be a tough year… the team is moving in the wrong direction. They are getting worse, defensively are weak and the offense just isn’t producing or ever manufacturing as many shots or more than the other team in almost every game. Something has to change.
