Happy Closing Day of the North American Baseball Year!
57 days left before the baseball year opens in California!

DAY 16 (579/119) ON THE ROAD TO THE 2026 6TH WBSC WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC – The Closing of the Baseball Year for 2024 in North America
My dear fans and supporters in North America, with deep sadness, today we’ve come to the end of what has been a tremendous and storied year of our sport in its birthplace.
The year that began last January in the California Winter League has ended today – Sunday, November 24, 2024 – in a storied win for the United States in the 3rd edition of the WBSC Premier12 with its first ever bronze medal to add to the silver it won in 2015.
It has been a great year for our sport in the contintent, as it is already on the road of revival and renewed expansion, and for its star talents in the sport a year of great achievements and joyful moments spent with the fans from every corner of the globe in games of all leagues and teams within this vast land as well as the countless events players have attended around the world.
We thank all the players, team and league staff and the national organizations of Canada, USA and Mexico, alongside our friends in Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic, for a great and wonderful year of action across the great land and to the many international stars who enjoyed the atmosphere and fun of the sport and its fans.
Today, with the conclusion of the 3rd WBSC Premier12 upon us the curtain has dropped on what has been a long and great year for the sport in this part of the world, and we thank everyone who took us together on what has been a memorable season of baseball in this part of the world.
Thanks to all of you the fans and supporters and to everyone who made this great year in North American baseball possible!
See you on January 20, 2025, the official start of North American baseball activities for 2025!
For Glory
John
