The Cincinnati Reds Traded Jonathan India at the Perfect Time
Many are asking if the Cincinnati Reds made the right move in trading Jonathan India now. The answer is simple: yes. The answer may have been different if the Reds waited. Also, with India no longer on the team, the infield doesn’t necessarily need an addition. The Reds need to address the outfield, not the infield.

Being a leader is a good quality to have but there will be guys like him down the road. Here's the reason why this is a win for the reds look at how many times a reds starter went down because of injuries this ensures more depth

I liked India but rather have McClain playing 2nd and a starting pitcher who can give us innings.
If this team wants to make the playoffs it needs to add both IF and OF players

India trade is a good deal! Arroyo at short…McLain at second…De La Cruz in Right field to focus on offense and not getting hurt. One more outfielder from free agent. Also forget that Trevor Bauer is hard to get along with sometimes and sign him to league minimum. That’s a team that will win games!
I sure liked India good guy to have we will miss him but we needed pitching will help if not starting which I believe he will would help in middle man relief glad to have pitching
I think Matt McLain hasn't proved he can play a full season without being injured. He's been injured when it matters, both years in the MLB
If we get an infielder.. it better be a backup for Stephenson. Period. Or to replace someone traded for an outfielder
You guys just explained why the infield is going to need a miracle to not be a aaa team and your still stoked about the India trade? Our only consistent infield veteran. That's crazy.
This team needs some veteran leadership,they have none. India was the only leader they had and he had only been in the league 4 years.
In 2016 and 2017 when the Reds had Eugenio Suarez the Reds drafted 2 SEC 3B…. in 2016 the 2nd Overall pick in the Draft was the Reds selecting Nick Senzel from Tennessee. And in 2017 the Reds drafted another 3B the 5th Overall pick Jonathan India from Florida. Neither one played 3B. Senzel was made an OF. India a 2B… Even though Jonathan won the ROY you have to think neither of these baffling picks made the Reds contenders. Once again the Reds need OFs and the Reds drafted 2 years in a row Pitchers from Wake Forest Lowder and Chase… Will Lowder and Chase be the Senzel and India of the Drafts??? While the Reds still need Outfielders…
