Anyway you see this as a possibility? Could fill a right shot D gap we currently have. Good or bad idea?

  1. Both would be massive bumps for the roster.

I’d prefer Kreider, I personally think Trouba is a bit dirty of a player for me

Edit: I just popped over to r/hockey post about this. They both evidently have 15 team NTC. Gotta to imagine we’re in that NTC for both of em

  2. Trouba would just be another overpaid #4/5 defenseman. He’s just not very good. I also don’t see a need to add players this season anyway

  3. I’d rather have Kreider out of the two of them but neither pushes the needle and they’ll both take minutes from younger guys. So for that reason I’m out.

  4. Honestly I was expecting a Trouba for Laine swap this summer but at this point I don’t see a place for a cap dump here

  5. Whispers quietly…I’d take him. We have more than enough cap space and we can really use another player with that edge. We need to get bigger/heavier

  6. Trouba is cooked, he wouldn’t crack the lineup without trading a piece that we really wouldn’t want to get rid of anyway

  7. anyone else remember Tepuba tossing a tizzy stating he won’t report to whoever they trade him to? Def don’t need that drama round these parts.

  8. I feel like we need to develop from within and add pieces when we are truly ready to contend for playoffs. I don’t think we need to repeat Jarmo’s mistakes by trying to patch up holes for a quick fix.
