rays and a's also it rhymes
I still donβt get why the Rays go to Port Charlotte where their own farm team already is
And itβs like the Coyotes at Mullett Arena.
Should MLB be more involved with these new stadium deals and the legal structures of the deals? The Ray's deal was doomed from beginning with all the open hoops that still had to be jumped through. It looks bad for the league when these deals were built on a straw foundation.
The Guardians have rain delays all the time. It's just part of baseball when not in California, or a dome
Maybe they should merge like they did in the NHL with the Northstars. I think they merged with cleavland or something.
Rays are different -they held the Tampa name but never played in Tampa proper. I'm surprised you never covered the political rivalry…numerous reports with Tampa/Hillsborough County officials looking at swooping in because Pinellis County/St. Petersburg were envious because of the Rays temporary location across the bridge in Tampa proper. I realize that you may have some pain because the As moved and you were one of their broadcasting team, don't let it affect your reporting.
Just the American League, acting like the National League's little brother again. The AL President should be embarrassed by the situation.
Fisher sux sell the A's
These rich owners love to pull the rug out from under their fans.
The MLB schedule is about 20% longer than the Florida State League schedule, too (132 games). I'd expect even more rainouts than what the Tarpons average
I think the Rays will likely build the same $1.3 billion 30,000-seat fixed roof ballpark adjacent to Raymond James Stadium on the former Tampa Stadium site in Tampa after Tropicana Field's translucent fiberglass roof was destroyed by Hurricane Milton, but before that, the Tampa City Council, the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, and the Hillsborough County Commission will have to approve it first.
The main similarity, both owners need to sell their teams.
