These last two weeks have been great news one after another for flying in town and going to Saturdays game. Thomas back. Monty in. Broberg back.
Is it just me or were he and Thomas way ahead of schedule?

Broberg-Parayko Perunovich-Faulk Suter-Kessel
If I have to watch Nick Leddy on the top pairing again when he gets back then I think we’ve got to fire Montgomery unfortunately. Perunovich-Faulk has been good and I honestly just want to see what we’ve got with Broberg.
Matches what they were doing in practice. Ideally I’d like Perunovich to still be on one of the PP units.
I hope he is fully able to be back. I would hate to rush him back on the ice. The other half of me is jumping up and down like a giddy teenager. I really liked Schueneman I get the same feeling I got with Neighbors being a superstar. I think he should get another shot.

Weird as it is though, I think Thomas and Broberg going down may have been good for this team in the long run. We managed to move past the Buch-at-center experiment and it let the D depth sort itself out a bit finally. Not sure what will happen when Leddy gets back, but Perunovich has definitely taken the opportunity and proved he’s an NHL dman, so even if we make the mistake of moving on he’ll get a job somewhere.
