[Brodie Brazil] NHL Players Want Arizona Coyotes BACK

  1. Hey Yotes, so I am a Sharks fan that has been hurt by the Coyotes being made defunct as a franchise. I can absolutely empathize with your guys’ pain and frustration. Living in the Bay Area all my life, I have had 3 of the teams I care about leave us as well. (Earthquakes, Raiders, and the A’s). So I know the pain.

And so does Brodie Brazil (yes that’s his real name). For those of you that don’t know, he is a former Media personality. Used to work for NBC Sports California covering different teams around the bay, and eventually focused on the Sharks and A’s. After the A’s move, he was let go from NBC and is now focusing on Youtube.

In this video he’s going over an article written by the Athletic, which surveyed a bunch of NHL players anonymously about a myriad of topics. From closing the cap circumvention loophole, to OT rules, to if Arizona should get a team again.

It’s a great video and worth the watch, the section about Arizona starts at 6:32 if you want to skip right to it.

Hope you guys enjoy the video.

  2. Fuck Brodie. Toward the end he was more or less rooting for us to lose our team because somehow it meant “justice” for them losing the A’s.

  3. I’m sure a lot of players would love to play here, assuming we had all of the pieces in place: a good ownership group that values them, and a modern NHL worthy arena to start with. Success breeds success and winning changes everything. Casual fans would come if we had that too. The issue was we never had that. It was 25 years of bullshit and owners who almost universally didn’t care about hockey. I want a team back here too but no shortcuts. Let’s get this right next time. Regardless, the NHL almost certainly won’t agree to bring them back here unless all of the pieces are in place already.

  4. AZ discussion starts at 6:35. Thanks for sharing OP. Nice to see a breakdown of the Athletic Poll. Brodie has been in both camps as afar as keeping the yotes here and moving them, but nice to see his sentiment is to bring the team back.
