Hamilton College punter Tighe Hoey ’25 (New Canaan, Conn./St. Paul’s School [N.H.]) was selected for the 2024 American Football Coaches Association Division III All-America Team on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Hoey was named to the second team and is one of only two punters on the all-America team. He was the first Hamilton football player honored on the coaches all-America team since running back Eric Grey ’93 in 1991.

Hoey is third in NCAA Division III with an average of 44.1 yards per punt. He finished the season with 2,295 yards on 52 punts, 16 of which traveled 50 or more yards with a long of 70. Hoey placed 18 punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line and six went for touchbacks.

Hoey is a three-time member of the all-New England Small College Athletic Conference team. He was on the 2023 D3football.com all-region team and the 2024 D3football.com Preseason All-America Team. Hoey also played defensive back for the Continentals in 2024 and was credited with 29 tackles, a forced fumble and two pass breakups in nine games.
