Preparations are already underway for the 2025 Laver Cup, which takes place in San Francisco next September.

Taylor Fritz and Carlos Alcaraz are the first Laver Cup players confirmed, with the duo having played the final match of the latest edition.

And it was the Spaniard who emerged victorious as Alcaraz defeated American ace Fritz to clinch the 2024 Laver Cup for Team Europe.

It was a truly stunning tournament for the 21-year-old, with Alcaraz winning eight points for Team Europe as they beat Team World 13-11.

Making their farewell appearances at the event in Germany were John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg, with the two captains stepping down from their roles.

“Taylor has been a force for Team World, and his commitment to the Laver Cup is undeniable,” said Agassi, as quoted by the Laver Cup website. “He loves the team element of the competition and thrives in this unique format.
