  2. Add Luis Robert and get the power hitting outfielder. Rotation would be deep and knocking on Top 5 in mlb. None of our pitchers other than newly acquired Singer have ever gone the distance in a regular season. I think there is never enough starting pitching, depth is key

  3. Fairchild as a bench piece/platoon makes sense because he can easily replace fraley/friedl/benson at any moment to face lefties. However, Espinal makes much less sense. there isn’t a single infielder that you’d prefer him over vs. lefties. are you gonna pinch hit or start him over mclain? elly? ces? jaimer maybe? steer? idk about you, but i’d prefer any of those guys hitting lefties over espinal. to me he’s an “in case of injury only” policy. but when healthy, how does espinal ever get ab’s??

I was very excited about this rumor when I heard it today, but after watching the show, I’m a lot less sold on it unless it’s the version that James said where it’s getting one piece in preparation to get another piece because as you pointed out Jeff the overall track record isn’t there. I personally didn’t realize because the White Sox I think are the one team that most of us only knew the bad things about last year other than Garrett, that the track record had only been there for one season for him, so I think if you do it, it has to be just a second move of at least three for the off-season not the last move they make.
