This Is NOT The Giannis Antetokounmpo That We Are Used To

After 2 MVP’s, a championship and a Finals MVP, Giannis still continues to improve his offensive game. His production on that end this season has been spectacular, all thanks to a more polished mid range attack. His stellar play has put the Bucks back into solid positioning in the Eastern conference after a forgetful start to the season

  1. The most important stat for determining MVP is the P.E.R. Giannis has moved ahead of Jokic as the number 1 player in the NBA in P.E.R. in addition, Giannis is number 1 in the NBA in scoring.

  2. Fun Fact: David Robinson was always dominating the advanced statistic categories, because the Spurs could not acquire or develop talent around him. I think that his carry job of the Spurs during the 90s was better than Kevin Garnett carrying the Timberwolves during the 2000s.

  3. Most underrated part of his game is how good of a passer/playmaker he’s become. His gravity in the paint is by far the highest in the league, so he’s able to get great looks for Trent/Prince/Green, Trent and Green especially are having career years from 3. Hell there was one game (I think it was against the Bulls) a week ago where he got dame 10+ FEET OF SPACE ON A THREE. If he keeps up his midrange and get his ft% up to 70, this is one of the best peaks in basketball history period.

  4. This is exactly why he didn't need to shoot 3's. With a mid-range, he'll dominate, why make it more complicated than it needs to be.

  5. I will forever remember this month as the time Giannis was matching Shaqs points in the paint while shooting as effective from the midrange as KD and no one was talking about him for MVP. 😅

  6. Obviously not in terms of rings… but is Giannis more dominant than Shaq? Shaq never had a season where he averaged 30 or more pts/game. His fg% was under 60% and his ft% was 50% or worse.

Giannis averages 30+pts/game, 60+% shooting, he now consistantly shoots from mid range, he's a perennial DPOY candidate, and he's arguably the greatest transition scorer of all time.

I'm just saying… Giannis might be more effective than Shaq ever was.

  7. Giannis is still the best player in thw world. Giannis never had a bad team. Jokic won three MVPs on a bad team. Jokic is the only player to win MVP and be swept in the same year. Last year Giannis averaged over 30ppg at over 60FG percentage. Only player to do that and he is doing it again this year.

  8. Speaking more facts than all major media outlets combined. Dame is also having an outstanding year while he hasn’t played his best ball yet. Maybe one day they’ll get some respect
