  1. I would’ve liked to see Johnny get more run, esp on the team we are putting on the court this season. He never really got a legit opportunity at the pro level in my humble opinion.

  2. He’s actually been good in his garbage time minutes, there just isn’t enough mins there between JP/Brogdon/Bub/Butler. I feel like we’re at the lowest point where we might as well try to give him an opportunity or just cut/trade him

  3. All anyone can say in defense of Davis is that he’s still only 22. But good god the kid is nearing 100 regular season games and is near Bronny level. Career 4/2/2 level player and even this season, on the worst team through 25 games in history, his TS is 55% in garbage time. I want him to succeed but maybe start getting your real estate license or something buddy

  4. The sad thing is that this sub was so disappointed in the pick when Tommy drafted him. It was an incredibly uninspired decision that was mocked to the Wizards all over the internet and considered “safe”, even though he had huge questions coming out of the draft. We predicted it would be a bad pick, then watched it happen, and turned out correct.

Not that we ever rooted against him or any other pick. But the fact that WE saw it coming and Tommy couldn’t made it so much worse.

  5. Passing on his option tells you all you need to know about whatever plans we might have for him. This seems more like an audition for his next team, but who would want someone who can’t even get any burn on our roster?

  6. Can somebody explain this to me? Obviously, there’ve given up on him if they didn’t pick up his option, right?

Does sending him to the GLeague open a roster spot or give them some kind of roster flexibility or something?
