GM: A’s sought ‘statement’ with Severino deal

  1. It wasn’t about the money, they had the money. It wasn’t the lack of fans, 46,889 in attendance September 26th. It wasn’t Oakland, who wanted the Howard Terminal plan. It wasn’t the players, who played their asses off for years for an owner that didn’t support them. It was about leaving, rebuilding, and blaming us for his poor leadership. FJF.

  2. “Severino can opt out and become a free agent again after the 2026 season.” so a year. Hard to believe he’ll want to stay in Sacto

  3. Biggest load of shit on top of a giant pile of doodoo. We haven’t made a “statement” signing with anyone in decades, even when it was great, homegrown talent. These assholes are gonna start spending money spewing “a new start” bs. I love the A’s but I hope they suck and fish gets forced out

  4. $22 MIllion for a mediocre starter .. they can get the same production from some of the current pitchers like JP Sears for $800k..
Stupid way to waste money by the A’s just bloating the payroll for the sake of it without smartly investing on players with upside or smart deals. Just classic A’s..it’s a clown show with Fisher and Kaval.

  5. What a freaking joke. $67 million for a 3.81 era? 3 years with and opt out after the second year. What a poorly run organization

  6. This deal reminds me of when we traded 9 all stars and followed up with giving fat ass Billy butler a massive deal. This organization sucks. I hate that I can’t root for any team but the green and gold. Fuck you john fisher. You ruined baseball for me

  7. This smug piece of shit with his disingenuous smile.

The same smile where he told people that he was “trying to keep the team in Oakland” when everyone knew through his actions and deeds that he certainly didn’t.

And that’s IF he’s addressing the fans and not hiding from the hellfire that should sear the rest of whatever hair is left on his head and cook his withered cock of a body to a crisp.

FJF, I just felt the need to get a little artistic with it today.

  8. The statement is “we’ll do the absolute bare minimum to show that we’re gonna start spending more money”

  9. But they invested nothing when the team was absolutely stacked a few years ago and legitimately contending.
