  1. Fox and Monk Kentucky backcourt is about two years later than I would have liked, but better late than never I guess! And look at Huerter looking like he can really have a role coming off the bench. Now can we please string a couple of good games together??

  2. Like I said, our biggest issue is our offense, secondary issue is defense but what good is defense when you cant make shots. lol Let's see if they string wins or are they just going to trades wins for losses every other game.

  3. Did the Kings need shooting at the time of the draft? Did they need more offensive specialists? If a player is compared to Jrue Holliday or Derrick White in terms of 2 way potential, then shouldn’t you do BPA? Knecht would have been nice for NOW but would he have been the best choice 5-7 years from now? I believe Carter will prove he was the correct choice.

  4. …whenever the bench players are given playing time in the first 2Qs the Kings Win…why? their starters are well rested and at crunch time they play well.👍👍👍

  5. Like please let’s just go on a nice little win streak!it shoulda started after the hiustin game but more importantly meshing together is necessary now

  6. I agree that there definitely is a disconnect with Mike and Monte. Next year, there's going to be more guards coming. Dalton Knecht was a miss for sure

  7. You are 100% right, Monte must cook up a deal this year to balance the roster. At least one of these bench guards has to be traded as sad as it will be to see them go. I think it's becoming more and more clear that if Kev can't get his value up by playing better consistently, Keon is the one that is going to be traded because they have Devin Carter "Waiting in the wings". In theory Devin could come in and fill that role that Keon plays, but that's a big if on top of how much he'll even be able to play this year. Monte 100% took a guard in Devin because of what happened at the end of last year with Monk going down. If he doesn't go down we likely stay in the top 6 race and that spooked Monte so he wanted even more depth

  8. Matt.. it was a heavy guard draft dude, u and the rest of the dumb fans. U guys are screaming we need a wing! While we do need that who said it has to be in the draft? And tell me Matt. What rookie that’s a SF and up after the 13th pick ? Our problem is guarding the three and DC is literally that guy! Quit that BS about how are we gonna fit the GUARD POSITION? Ur talking about the MOST INCONSISTENT POSTION?! How many times have we switched the guard position around ? When literally the PG, SF, PF, C is literally the set and stone ! And dude 😂😂😂 Matt u sound like a hypocrite hahaha “monte doesn’t add players to this team that fits Mike brown!” Then said “we should’ve gotten knect! He’s the best shooter” so… again. Literally knect is a guard, and a shooter. Not a defender. While DC is exactly a Mike brown type player, ur a confused fan Matthew

  9. Matt stop acting like you know which coach or GM wanted xyz player. U talked in circles with this one. Monte literally put together a team that had the best offensive rating in nba history. While our defense got better last year u were on the podcast yelling we need another player that can create offense other than fox! Fox needs help offensively, we can’t be a middle of the pack defense and offense ! Focus on the offsense! Thr season was coming close, we got demar . You yourself even said this is gonna be an unstoppable offense. Now ur playing the blame game because it didn’t turn out, but Monte fixed the problem u and all the fans were yelling that we needed another shot creator. Shit got one of the best shot creators in the game and was able to pull it off by just trade who everyone wanted off this team HB. One of the first things u say in this video is this team is unstoppable when they are hitting their shots , u mean the thing the Kings are most successful at and has shown to win games from it? Then by the end of the video ur blaming Monte about defense. And even blamed him for drafting DC .. LITERALLY THE BEST THREE PT PERIMETER DEFENDER IN THE DRAFT. Sounds like you want a perfect team. Well u have to get a 1-5 draft pick and go from there. Hmmm Carter was projected to go top 5. Imagine passing up on a top 5 pick at 13.. and he becomes a derrick white type of player that fits perfectly in a championship team. Because how dare we draft an injured top 5 player at 13 in a “weak draft” that fits our timeline , and make judgement on the players ability that hasn’t even been able to show it.. but that’s the thing with Kings fans, they are all in at first but then when something isn’t going there way they play the should’ve could’ve would’ve game like the organization should tell the future spot on and that it’s the GMs fault for the players not producing . Even tho they were projected to. After the shitty run of GMS , Matt and many other fans defiantly forgot where this team came from

  10. Monte must balance the roster at the deadline. I believe Carter will be a keeper and will therefore crowd the guard position all the more. Those sons of NBA role players turns out to have very good careers.

  11. Disconnect, yes, but not a total one. Yes, too many guards…but drafting best available Devin Carter was a no-brainer — a more gifted GPIII archetype 3&D guard and eventual Davion replacement. Monte’s plan just fell thru the cracks. The vision obviously was to fill the wing need with a savvy vet in DeMar & to replace Davion for the potential of a young, long 3&D backup in 6’9” Jalen McDaniels, then adding another wing of either Jae Crowder, TJ Warren, or Dyson Daniels. If anything, the Jordan McLaughlin signing is the head-scratcher and so is the up-and-down play of Kevin Huerter.

  12. Hey Matt, keon is not the savior you and deuce say. When he's on offense teams slack on him cause they know he has zero offense. Anyone can make open 3s and if he don't he didn't even belong in the NBA. So again what does he do so good that you simp over him

  13. They played a team without their 2 best players Wemby and Vassell. Don’t take anything from this game. They have to prove alot. The media jumps on anything and all of a sudden have the answer,Huerters back and Sabonis and the defense is not to blame if they shoot 60% percent from the field.Smdh

  14. The kings has the chance to win the next games. They should be able to beat the Jazz, Pelicans, lakers who are struggling, and maybe the nuggets who are not as powerful as before. They should start getting hungry and play good defense and hopefully will go back to the playoff rankings. Get hungry kings.

  15. Thanks Matt. Your analysis is the best second only to James Hamm imo. But he doesn't have a show and you do. Keep up the great work covering the Kings. My next game is the Lakers on Saturday the 21st. Go Kings, win win win!!!

  16. That is what won the warriors their championships- yes their defense was pretty good- but it was because the splash bros hit shots. That was curry in the Olympics too, not stifling guys with his defense, but hitting shots when it mattered. If Keegan and Huerter and Fox and Monk shoot well, they win. So simple.

  17. I still think the kings need to do fox right and trade him to a team that can get him deep in the playoffs like the Spurs or magic or heat. Fox has the highest trade value n the kings r doomed for fighting for a play in spot again.

  18. Some observations: Chris Paul is in control of the Spurs when he is on the court as evidenced by the +/-. The beautiful passes, 13, and bonus 8 rebounds, 3 on the offensive are very good. Unfortunately, the dude is turning 40 so keeping him healthy is priority #1 for a couple of reasons – for a possible postseason run and trade bait.

For the first time, I watched Sacramento play a full half, the 2nd half in particular. When they say Sacramento is a "bad team", my observation is not exactly.

Offensively, it's more like there is no flow to their offense.

The ball movement is gone, cutting to the basket is gone. Harrison Barnes, even when he is not scoring, he knows how to set screens to get that type of offense going. Type of players like Huerter and Murray thrives off that because they are in rhythm shooting the basketball. Standing still shooting is not easy. Why do you think free throw shooters dribble the ball, rotate the ball before shooting?

The "turn the f^&^king jets on is gone". A lot of walk it up, isolation basketball now like other teams, so boring to watch. Sometimes it takes them so long to set up their half court offense that they end up with hurried shots.

At least, the pick and roll with Sabonis is still there. And, last night the 3s good. Same question still, which K will show up next?

Defensively, giving up 113 points to a San Antonio team missing 3 key pieces especially minus its best player is a lot of points.

  19. Monk’s an All-Star. Fox needs to snipe 3’z (should have traded him for Markkanen when u had chance, hits 3’z and a big to defend). Keep crowder for playoff sub where all possessions matter. When DC is healthy, what r kings gonna do with Ellis? You need small bench for playoffs run, right now ur all over the place, although u FINALLY figure out who ur starting 4 r. Only upgrade possible trades are for KM and, fox bc he’s not supermax or an all-star….

  20. Do you hear yourself when you talk? Cause we have to listen to you. you can't for 2 years in a row Say this is a 50 when roster and then point the finger at the roster builder when they don't succeed.
