Am I reading this correctly that the only place we’ll be able to watch the Rays locally is on Amazon Prime as an add on?

No…Fan Duel Sports Network is on most cable networks here. It’s the same channel that Bally’s was. The Rays will be on that channel. The Amazon Prime deal is for those who don’t have cable. It’s basically another option to still watch the Rays but you will have to pay more on top of your Prime membership to watch it there.
Looks like nothing is changing from before outside of the option to have an add on to Amazon Prime. In Florida we’ll have to have a cable subscription that includes FanDuel Sports Network, subscribe to FanDuel online or through Amazon, or manage to trick MLB.tv into thinking we’re out of region.
I long for the day where I can get MLB tv and decide what teams I want to watch. Maybe a National League package or just an American League package. We can find out if viral outbreaks are high by monitoring waste water but we can’t manage to figure out how to broadcast sports so everyone can watch it for little to no cost.
YouTubeTV doesn’t carry any RSNs except NBC Sports.
