MLB Commissioner meets with Pinellas County and the Governor

Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred met with two people from Pinellas County and also met with Governor DeSantis. He once again indicated his support for keeping the Rays in the Tampa Bay area.

Hoping he’s there to tell them that If they F this up they’re never getting another franchise.
I think (or at least hope) what happened is manfred promised desantis an allstar game if the stadium happens (to be announced while desantis is still governor so he gets all the credit) and desantis in turn is promising an atta boy or an endorsement to one of the council members (most of whom are republican) if they flip their vote to yes.
