It is fair to say that things have not always been bright in the last two and a half seasons at Chelsea since the enforced change of ownership.
Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have both been the recipients of plenty of criticism, some of which warranted, as they hoped to get the Blues back to being a force of English and European football.
Fast forward to the present day, and Enzo Maresca has Chelsea four points off the top of the table, as well as top of the tree in the Conference League this season.

Chelsea fans have been heard loudly chanting Maresca’s name, with the new manager having a popularity that the last couple of bosses at the club have not been able to have.
A lot of the criticism handed at the owners’ door revolved around the magnitude of players signed for the club. However, the likes of Maresca will point to the amount of rotation he has been able to do as one of their real strengths right now.
Gary Lineker has now asked the question as to whether Boehly and co are in the process of proving everyone, including himself, wrong.
He said to The Rest is Football: “Are we getting to a point now where we have to sit back and say Chelsea’s owners were right and we were wrong?”
Rift between Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali
It was reported earlier this season that Boehly and Eghbali were in a serious disagreement as to where they thought the club should be headed.
Both parties accepted that a change in the situation was needed, however recently things have gone quiet regarding any sort of sale from either side.
It looks as if the pair have got their third permanent managerial appointment absolutely spot on, and even though Maresca doesn’t want to admit it, the Blues are very much in the title race at the moment in the Premier League.
