  1. Long story short… Ownership handcuffed management again and we are going to be mid pack just enough to keep the fans interested to make big money but not really a contender. Mariners were one of the most profitable teams in baseball 9th with $396mil take home… think they can afford to get some bats.

  2. Mariners fan since 1977. 95 percent of the years ownership just wants revenue, they don't care of the loyalty of the fans, just interested in their wallets. I will always be a Mariners fan. I'm ready for another mediocre 😊season. Go Mariners

  3. I recommend everyone here look up the interview the Marine layer podcast did with a former GM. He had some very eye-opening front office info. Here's the most notable comment that stuck for me. As a general rule, if a team's roster payroll is under 50% of their gross revenue, the team makes money. If it is over, they are usually losing money. The Mariners grossed 396 million last year while spending 160 million by season's end. Going by what the former GM said, the Mariners had roughly 30 million they could have spent and still made money since half is 193. They sit at about 145 right now. If by season's end this year the payroll sits around 180-185 million, I'll give them credit. I understand an owner looks at a team as an investment, and 99% wouldn't buy into a team if it weren't. They need to loosen up a bit though and get closer to 50%. 35-40 million. Get it together.

  4. If I could buy the team. I would put money in and go after every player. Unless they previously played for either the Astros or Yankees. Those two organizations make me sick.

  5. It's easier than ever to make the postseason so in order to prove that they belong in the playoffs teams will have to win their division, so the Mariners should build a lineup that can win the AL West.

  6. Luis Castillo & Robles and Red Sox send : Yoshi, Abreu, and our #11 INF prospect Meidroth gets it done. You nitwits need LHBs, and a young INF whos MLB ready & you make 6 million + in that deal to go do something else.

  7. Oh dear lord I hope so. We apparently don’t have the money to just hire an infield on their own, so for the love of anything trade 1/5th of our starters for 2/4ths of an infield.
