Gotta say how happy I am to be a Flyers fan, win or lose (better pick). Team vibes (Seeler & Coots). Mich leading the Calder race. Tip, Brink, Andrae, Dry & York coming on. TK & Sanman on Canada, Risto on Finland. Bonk, Barkey, Jett, Ruo, Berg trying for World Juniors. Those 6 great picks in ’25.

We got some of our favorite Flyers playing in some exciting international hockey coming up.
Mark my words – Michkov will be on the Russian Olympic Committee team in Italy in a little over a year.
Preach
We have weathered a lot of bullshit to make it to the Toyota turning point.
I’m not as impressed with Brink as most people. He doesn’t skate all that great, he’s inconsistent and his CORSI isn’t anything to be excited about.
All your titles are nightmares.
Excited to be a perennial first round exit.
All those names. It would be nice to know why Zavragin seemingly just dropped off face of the earth.
Last year felt like a step in the right direction. We did not make the playoffs which in the short term was bad, but long term it helped us land Luchanko who looks like a solid prospect. I think next year we will see massive leaps due to freed up cap space, three first round picks, and likely prospects getting called up.
I got two of my sons into the Flyers this year and took them to their first game a few weeks ago. I was around their age when Lindros started his career and spent most of my youth/early adult life with the Flyers always being somewhat of a contender. I hope this is the start of something where they get to see them as contenders for years to come.
Fuck you mean “leading the Calder race”?? Bruh already has it wrapped up under the Russian Xmas tree
My mood w/ the team has definitely improved a bit over last few weeks. I accepted we unfortunately will not be getting a top pick and am just enjoying watching Michkov and TK dominate and the team play decent hockey.
That mood will definitely worsen throughout the year when I get reminded how mediocre the team is and how badly we need a top pick Center.
>Tip, Brink, Andrae, Dry & York coming on
Andrae has been the only one out of this group who has had a genuinely good, breakout year
Tipp is starting to score again but the 1st 20 games show his massive flaws and while he wont be more than a support 2nd line sniper
Drysdale has looked good in his 1st 2 games back but was terrible in the 1st 15 and missed half the year to injury so still not a good season
York has been okay and hasnt taken any step forward. Definitely not a top pair franchise guy like many think.
Brink has had up and down year with scratches but has good 5v5 scoring which is decent. But he still looks in over his head and too small/slow in many games which is why he was scratched. Hard to be confident in him being a long term piece.
Michkov and Andrae are pretty much the only young guys who actually broke out while pretty much everybody else has been just okay or disappointing.
Also Barkey, Ruo and Berg are B-/B prospects that are big long shots to be impact NHLers. Every team has many guys like them and hyping them up just sets people up for disappointment.
I’m 48 and this is the most hype I’ve been for the future since the Richards/Carter days. This team is fun to watch, and better yet, fun to root for.
Oh there’s no way this sub will let such positivity stand! The comments shall become your grave!
No I’m kidding. I’m happy to watch them again. It’s nice to enjoy hockey. It’s nice to see them busting ass and for once being rewarded. And holy god is it nice to see talent on this team.
I dunno what’s gonna happen the rest of the season. I’m still expecting the bottom to fall out win wise and us ending up with a bottom 10 team. But even if we do, they aren’t unwatchable anymore. People around me are talking about them again. It’s a nice time to be a fan
