Call me grumpy, but they will remain the Utah Hockey Club for me a bit longer even after the brand change. They just grew on me for some reason.
TL;DR. They won’t announce anything until the off-season. It normally takes 18 months to develop new jerseys and brands. The team has been working on this since day 1 and are working hard. They like the current jerseys and will try to keep elements of them. They bring staff to road games to learn best practices from other teams.
The Utah Hockey Club will continue to exist.
I am still curious, how the whole Yeti thing started, who started popularizing it even as an option? Never in my sane mind the name Yeti would’ve ever come across as an option. There is nothing even remotely connected to Utah and an Asian mythical creature.
Yeti has been the most popular name with people I’ve talked to outside of Reddit since the day the move was announced. Really seems like this is another instance of Reddit thinking its opinion is the majority.
