  1. Considering the most obvious fact, that McDaniel had turned Ross first round QB into a massive success story, it’s a very safe bet to make, that his job is safe. Chris Griers job and anyone else in the front office that isn’t sided with the head coach, now that’s a different story. Their asses could all end up with a prefilled application for unemployment by tomorrow as far as anyone outside of the building will ever know, until after it has happened. But one thing that is for sure, the coach is safe. He likely has more power with the owner than anyone else in the building right now, considering he is the one perceived to have flipped everything around with the guy who is most valuable to the success of the team today.

  2. 4:42 hey, give the Jets and Aaron their props. That was the most competitive game they have ever given Tua. And true to historic form, they assumed the correct position and held that L on their spirit airlines flight back to Jersey. 😂😂

  3. I think it’s hard to judge Weaver for this year when we literally sat here and watched them hand him 0 bonafide pass rushers. We handed him a couple rookies, Ogbah, and a couple broken handled hammers that he can’t do nothing with but look at em sitting on the work bench busted up. We didn’t give him any good safety’s. Holland is supposed to be good, and I stand by what I said last year, the kid on the patriots makes more impact plays than Holland does over the last two seasons. Holland is a cool dude, but he ain’t the franchise star at safety kind of player. He has shown the ability to be in flashes. But he has never shown a drive to be that dude in more than about once or twice in every 7-10 games he plays in. Ramsey has been the best player on defense and he has gotten caught flat footed in a couple games so far this year. But he has also been phenomenal in many of the games. The linebacker, I think Anthony Walker, has been a solid upgrade over Baker but he ain’t had no help in that linebacker room. I mean no help at all. And the best part of the defense has been the interior D line, and it’s sporadic because we are leaning on 38 year old Campbell, and Seiler.

  4. Agree with Ballgame about McDaniel needing to put his ego aside and let someone else call the plays. McDaniel already has a hard time getting his words out when he speaks and I’m sure that impacts his ability to get the plays out in a timely manner. Also, one might question why McDaniel doesn’t stick with what is working i.e. Jonnu. Him not having any receptions during regulation is definitely a head scratcher.

  5. I don’t see that defense getting better or playing well enough to stand up to any playoff team. 31-27 Houston .. I called it before Tua came back and I’m standing by it .. we’re just losing important draft position, we’re going to end up picking in the low 20’s.

  6. While there’s absolutely no arguing that you need a solid backup QB because you never know when your starter might go down I think even if they had a solid backup this team wouldn’t be any better off. The biggest problem is still as it has been for the last 10+ years … YOUR OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE lines are NO WHERE NEAR GOOD ENOUGH. Defense is TRASH and so is your running game, McDaniel is just too beta. You need an Alfa leading you in battle.

  7. I’m gonna continue to push back on the idea that we must run the ball in December and January. The Patriots put that myth to bed years ago. We do need better guards to help pick up important 3rd and 4th and 1s, however we have in place today the short passing attack and deep threats that can win in the playoffs. Here are some facts that prove my point:

    1. Brady’s first career playoff game (the tuck game) in the snow he threw the ball 52 times. The Pats then threw 39 times the very next week at Pittsburgh
    2. Brady threw the ball 40+ times in 22 of his 48 playoff games.
    3. In the playoffs, the Patriots were 2-1 in BB era when throwing the ball 50+ times where the game time temperature was 32 or below.
    4. When they won their 3rd title, in the playoffs, they threw the ball 42 times per game.
    5. When they won their 4th title, in the playoffs, they threw the ball 46 times per game.
    6. When they won their 5th title, in the playoffs, they threw the ball 47 times per game.
    7. When they lost to the Eagles in the SB, in the playoffs, they threw the ball 46 times per game.
    8. When they won their 6th title, they threw the ball 42 times per game.
