  1. Tough one, sharks have been blues killers these last few seasons. I’m not placing too much weight on it.

Those points are important, but that’s hockey.

  2. Remember that loss last year against the Blue Jackets before the break? That’s what I just thought about. Also, I think we lost multiple to the Sharks when the playoff hopes were still “alive”

  3. No quit in the blues. Binner really didn’t impress me tonight. And Faulk was pretty lazy tonight.

  4. I feel like we have karmic consequences from embarrassing the Sharks in 2019. They’ve had our number. I’ll take that trade.

  5. Remind me next game to hammer celebrini point and goal total next time they play the blues. Goodness that dude feasts against us

  6. I’m gonna need a good explanation of that double minor on Hollywood. It made about as much sense as the one against Sunny last game.

  7. Not the best game, but I appreciate the rally at the end. Lots of room for improvement, although I’m still optimistic about this team. It was a long road trip against some good teams, and coming back from a late time zone isn’t easy. We will get them next time

  8. When the Blues are down by 2, this is the playbook:

    • Battle back to get within one

    • Within seconds let the opposing team restore the lead

    • Get another goal that would’ve tied the original lead

    • Overpass the puck in the O zone for 10 minutes

It’s happened like 4-5 times this season – I’m so tired of it.

  9. Binnington looks a little lost out there sometimes when the puck is in the paint. He just looks so slow to move around and react

  10. Hope Monty makes some strong decisions about line competitions going forward. The 3rd line has basically been a black hole all season

  11. Tough one. Celebrini is Matthews v2 and he was everywhere. Their heavy hitting threw us off early and blocked shots kept us from tying it late. Bummer.

Also I will always love sunny, but we need a middle six center bad. Bad bad. We aren’t going to tank w/ Monty, I’m not sure if we’re going to push Dvorsky up so Armstrong needs to fire up those phones. Frederick, Frost, Turcotte… a young change of scenery 3c please and thank you.

    Finally, where is Scott perunovich?

  12. Ever notice how JK never/rarely uses verbs during play by play? “And a shot… and around… a drive… the save!” It’s like listening to a fetal alcohol syndrome toddler.

  13. What a weird, shitty game. From the get go the blues struggled to make a pass let alone complete one. They made poor choices leading to turnovers. They fanned on shots, fumbled pucks and even when they came close to scoring a bad bounce would derail it.

Turning point of the game was the Saad crossbar, followed by the inexplicable Holloway double minor, the failed clear by Sundqvist and the goal with 6 seconds left in the game. This game was destined for a loss and there’s nothing anybody could’ve done about it.

Also, Hofer should get a few more starts.

  14. I fucking hate the sharks, believe me, I do. That said, at 18 years old I was smoking reggie out of soda cans and scraping up change for a pack of decades. This Celibrini kid is impressive, and has a very big career ahead of him.

  15. Deserved loss. We’ve won a few this season we had no right to but goaltending won. Schenn is playing like a captain again, neighbors, Holloway and walker have energy for days. Flip side Granlund and celebrini were monsters. Buch and Toropchenko were mice. Need more from veterans.

  16. Losing sucks, however one of my many prophetic visions, which are always correct (25% of the time), is a Blues hot streak. It feels like we’re so close to clicking, but we just can’t get there. Hopefully that’ll change after this game

  17. Philly game feels. Both games were after a long road trip where we come home for one game and go back on the road.
