It’s fine everyone. We have Spencer Horwitz

  1. I guess a positive is it’s one year and despite the Cubs being a big market, I don’t see them extending Tucker to a 300+ mil deal

Not looking forward to him murdering us this year though

  2. Don’t really get the title of this thread. Tucker is a FA after this year, is eager to test the market and will be getting a massive payday. Not a guy we should be expecting the Pirates to be going after right now.

  3. There’s no point in any team trading for Tucker unless you’re a WS contender or plan to extend him. So honestly, idk why the Cubs would do this… I’d be questioning if the Pirates did this as well.

  4. Now we will go and over pay in a trade for Taylor Ward or bring back MAT and Cutch and call it.
When in reality they need Diaz, Cutch, a reliever and a Bellinger type or better outfielder

  5. Expect nothing from the Pirates in the offseason and you won’t be disappointed. The owner is sabotaging this team, and there’s nothing any GM, manager, generationally-talented rookie can do about it. We will be stuck as a non-contender until Nutting (a) dies, (b) has a change of heart, or (c) sells the team.

We all know he’s said he has no intention of selling, so don’t hang your hat on that. We also know he’s not concerned with the success of the team, and so we are forced to wait this out. Just accept that the Nutting-owned Pirates will only occasionally fall ass-backward into a wildcard playoff spot.

  6. I literally cannot fathom why they cut De La Cruz. He’s better than Suwinski or Josh Palacios and demonstrated power at the MLB level while not hitting .167.
