According to this site he is currently 16th best odds to win MIP.
Jalen Williams of OKC is best odds. He increased scoring by 2.7 ppg, and decreased his true shooting percentage from 62% to 59%
PP increased from 9.6 to 16.1 ppg, AND increased TSP from .597 to .674
How is he not getting more love for MIP? Is it because he’s the favorite for 6th MOY and you can’t win 2?

I have never liked how they give MIP to someone who was already really good the previous year, compared to someone like PP who has made a drastic improvement and is now a key player for a contender

Yes. But the award was ruined when Ja won it so I’m not sure it’s worth paying much attention to now.
deserves to be in the conversation but it will probably be JDub, the award typically goes to borderline All-Stars who make the leap to actual All-Stars
I think he’ll end up with MIP or 6MoY if he keeps up this play.
No. He was always this guy. 6man, sure
It’s absolutely because you can’t win two of these. He’s got a huge (PP) lead for 6MOTY so he’s not really in consideration for MIP.
the problem is he’s on the Celtics. a team where every player is “carried” and no one gets individual credit for being part of a juggernaut.
He is underrated and shouldn’t be 16th. But he isn’t likely to beat anyone in that top 5. Mobley, for example, is one of the reasons the Cavs have gone from “nice story” to “69-win pace.”
As Scal says, “maybe Jokic should win it.”
He’s going to win 6MOY and they’re not going to give the same person both
YES
PP is not an “improved” player imo. He was always good… he’s just finally getting the minutes he deserves.
He deserves 6MOY
Most improved doesn’t usually go to the most improved unfortunately
Glad I bought in on SMOTY when he was 30/1 odds. He definitely deserves to be in the MIP convo, but that will prob go to Powell
