Celtics currently have 14/15 roster spots filled and Drew Peterson has been getting significant playing time even though he’s on a two-way. I think Lonnie Walker is probably gonna stick the season out in Europe. Other potential free agent signings:

I don’t see the Celtics picking up one of those guys instead of giving Drew Peterson a full contract

We gave it to Queta at the very end of the season last year. So, if we still have 14 spots filled going into the playoffs, it’s incredibly likely he will be given the final spot. The contract would be pro-rated and the Celtics are already wildly in the tax. I imagine they’ll wait as long as they can to limit additional tax
People are sleeping on him. I hear the same stuff I heard about Pritchard and Sam being said about him. He is probably a rotation player if given a chance.
He’s able to play real rotation minutes when Hauser is out I would think so. I can see Springer being released or sent out for a top 55 protected second rd pick.
He needs more time to develop. Does he have potential?. Yes kinda. Can we do better?. Yes!.
I think so, yes. He contributes about as much as Tillman, and more than Walsh/Davison

I have been very impressed with him, especially considering I had no idea about this guy at all during the beginning of the year.
I have no idea about management mumbo jumbo, or who else is contending for that final roster spot, but I think he has shown that his play is valuable to this team. So I hope he does.
He may get the Queta treatment but if that’s the case they will do it as late as possible. Definitely nothing before the trade deadline
Lonnie could still come back in Feb with his small buyout if we can move Springer by then.
He has the look of an end of the rotation guy for the post Big 3 Celtics (pre Tatum)
