  1. Ohhh, he had a great MVP season for the Reds last year… huge year for the Braves incoming

  2. lol this is the most AA move ever. Bro has been chasing the high of the 2021 trade deadline and wil always sign under the radar pieces

  3. BDLC is about the best you’ll get on a minors deal. He’s underperformed his xwOBA the last few years (i.e. some bad batted-ball luck) and hits it hard. He was a legit breakout player in 2022 and I was convinced he’d be part of the Marlins’ core. Pittsburgh traded real-ish prospects to get him at the deadline this year and then non-tendered him.

Now, his defense is horrendous and combined with the xwOBA underperformance, he’s been worth negative fWAR the last two years. But again, just looking at what’s available on a minors deal, this is probably a step above the Jordan Luplow/Kyle Garlick group of guys the Braves have brought in the last few years.

  4. Lads, I’m starting to think they’re going to cheap out this offseason despite what AA has been saying.

  5. Bad defense in the outfield, plus underperforming his xwOBA (meaning unlucky)? Oh yeah this is our guy

  6. I like him as a **potential** Ronald fill-in to start the season, not bad and on the cheap. Worst case he plays in AAA and gets it together down there, hopefully.
