Suggests to me that Allen will be out long enough that they need to actually start the backup a few times. Going with the veteran instead of the rookie.

Daws looked pretty good his first few starts last year. I feel like the lack of real defense in front of him ended up derailing his promising start. I’d be interested to see how well he fares behind an actual defense.
Daws and Effect, baby. This time with an actual defense in front of him. Assuming he’ll get one of Columbus or Pittsburgh this week?
I thought Daws would have to go through waivers to be sent back down again?
This isn’t great news for whatever might be ailing Allen but hopefully he stands a better chance with our new defense this year if we need to play him
With a 33 and 34 year old goalie tandem, Daws will defiantly be part of near future. I know we rushed him once, hopefully he’s gotten the development he needs since then.
Reassigned to Junior High
I feel like this is just so Poulter can play in Utica instead of sitting on the bench until Allen is back; earliest we’re going to see the backup is probably in the Carolina back to backs in two weeks
