Hi! I sometimes share my articles here, so thanks for the support when I do! My name is Noa Dalzell and I cover the Celtics for CLNS Media and SB Nation, and I'm pretty much around the team 95% of the year.
I'm going live this evening on my weekly podcast, You Got Boston, to discuss the Celtics' 21-5 start to the season, and answer any and all fan questions.
You can tune in (and subscribe) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwQhPzcGTx0
Or, feel free to drop any and all questions about the team below and I can try to hit on as many as possible during the show!
UPDATE: These questions rock! Going to go through as many as possible on the show today at 6:30pm.

This is the first season in recent memory where the team stayed mostly intact during the offseason.
Does the team seem to have more chemistry off the court than previous iterations ?
Who is the nicest Celtic on the team?
Do you think Payton Pritchard has all star potential?
Thanks Noa! You’re doing an awesome job!
Who’s the funniest guy on the team except Luke Kornet?
Just want to say that you’ve been a fantastic addition to CLNS and you fit in seamlessly with all of the other guys on the postgame show – just like you’ve always been there.
So, do you really think Pritchard has All-Star potential, or are you just exaggerating for effect? Good call on his increased production going into the season btw
With as much as you all are around the teams, are there a lot of “off the record” conversations where you get to know each other, or is it all business?
2nd apron aside, what do you think represents the Celtics’ biggest threat over the next 3-5 years?
When are we gonna see Luke Kornet start shooting 3 pointers again?
Why do you think we’ve struggled (compared to inferior teams) in the NBA Cup tournament, this year and last? Also thanks Noa you do great work!!
How much communication do the players have with broadcast staff off the air? Is there opportunity for building rapport outside of the small interactions we get to see?
* Can you ask Luke Kornet when you get a chance why he stopped shooting 3pt shots? It’s interesting that they wanted to incorporate this into Xavier Tilman’s game, but not Luke who had been shooting historically about 30%
* Really interested to see further insight into Jaden Springer, especially now that we’re into the NBA trade window, the bottom of our roster probably needs a bit of scrambling.
* Thoughts on Xavier Tilman and whether or not his knee scope impacted his ability to prepare for this season?
* Any thoughts on bringing Lonnie Walker back from overseas or does the poison pill in his contract reduce the likelihood of that?
* Thoughts on the upside of Hauser as he gets healthier and back into rhythm?
* What does this coaching staff look like if we lose Sam Cassell?
* Thoughts on the impact of the NBA cup on teams that don’t advance and have a ridiculous amount of rest time?
Just want to say I loved your article about being a fan that grew up to cover the team. Keep up the great work!
What team do you think the Celtics struggle against that they realistically shouldn’t?
Big fan Noa! I got 2 questions:
1.) Now that you’ve been on the job for what feels like a while now, what were some things that you never would’ve been prepared for?
2.) In your opinion, what are the odds other local organized sports teams could get involved with the Cs through partnerships and events? Is the door more open than one would think?
Thanks a lot, and keep going! Your articles and questions for the players are a breath of fresh air! Best of luck in the future!
omg noa on reddit, i used to follow your job on x, but im from brazil so…
anyway, eager to know if you have any sets or specific plays that you think Joe should try to implement on our offense more, like running more splits and empty side.
I know we run a lot, I recognize the horns set, but maybe we can pressure the rim more with other types of action, like eurobasket.
thanks noa, love your work!
Jason Tatum seems to have the reputation of being a “boring superstar.” He’s family oriented, he has a corny sense of humor, he’s a balanced, well-rounded player instead of one who is spectacular in a few aspects of the game. Is his reputation aligned with the reality you see while covering the team, or is it more the product of the modern style of sports media coverage?
Bonus question: Tatum’s frustration with his “bad whistle” – justified or not? Better this year?
What’s your take on Tatum’s recent 3 point slumps? He started off the year scorching from 3 but it’s down to 36%. Was hoping for 38-40% from him this year after he tweaked his jumpshot
No questions here. Love your coverage Noa!
Do we know why Xavier Tillman is out of the rotation this season? Thanks!
What are some surprising things about some of the players that the fans don’t know?
Also thank you for your coverage, amazing work
Just wanted to say thank you. I read all your tweets for post game coverage last year. I moved over to Bluesky. I follow you but I know you aren’t doing as in depth coverage.
What’s the best thing about following an NBA team on the road?
What’s the worst thing about covering an NBA team in Boston?
Love your twitter coverage! How was it like dealing with angry bucks fans after *that quote*? LMAO
Is it just Deuce or does everybody’s kids get to hang around the locker room and the warmups?
I’ve got no questions but wanted to pop in and say you’re doing a great job Noa, thanks for your coverage on the Celtics and the Sun!
What jobs in the arena would we be shocked to learn exist
Do you think our path to a legit backup big man rests solely on Queetas development? Is there a path to someone like Walker Kessler due to his small salary and how many future firsts we command?
Who is Jrue’s best friend(s) on the team? My 7 year old daughter is a huge Jrue fan and wants to know! Thank you!
What are the negatives of covering the Celtics?
Is the team looking to address any weaknesses at the trade deadline? ‘Tingus pingus tha Latavia God’ injuring his heel by simply landing on it and the poorer play by Tillman has a dude wondering.
Who has the most NBA potential between Deuce, Little Al, Hendricks (sp?) White, and Lil’ Jrue? :).
What do think Sam Hauser’s future is with the Celtics?
Do you know any players like personally?
Love your podcast, Noa! Always look forward to new episodes!
Is Joe as intense behind the scenes as he presents to the media, or is he more laid back when not talking about the team publicly? Though I like to imagine he’s psycho Joe most of the time
