Cam Fowler Traded from Anaheim Ducks to St. Louis Blues
Today the Anaheim Ducks traded defensemen Cam Fowler and a 2027 4th round pick to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a 2027 2nd round pick and prospect Jeremie Biakabutuka.

A little surprised the Ducks sent a 4th rounder with Fowler, especially since they are eating some of the cap hit

The second rounder is a package pick. Look at the deadline for it to be used to move up in the draft if needed.
Feel like the Blues kinda fleeced the Ducks a bit here, could be the turning point in their season
Teams also didn't have the room to add Fowler now vs that accrued deadline space. The Blues weaponized their cap once again and did what a lot of GMs seemingly can't and got good players with it.
