  1. Dude holly shit. There is so much green in this photo. I had no idea it was like that. Jody allen you suck pricing your fans out. Eat a dick

  2. Serious question:

Is the fact Seattle is now a transplant city have anything to do with our current issue? I know Hawks fans are state wide, but I also imagine most people living in Seattle proper don’t really care about football.

People outside the city probably can’t justify a $1k outing for two people anymore. Also, if the opposing team is above .500, we’re probably getting dunked on.

  3. Seahawks fans invade Az Cardinal stadium: “ha ha big cool.”

Seahawks fans when Green Bay fans do it: “ I hate you, god!“

  4. I’m a seasons ticket holder that lives in Canada. I can’t attend Sunday night games, Monday or Thursday. I drive down starting at 8am and got home around 9pm. I waited 9 years for seasons tickets when I signed up before the hawks won the Super Bowl. I also now have two young girls age 5 and 7.

Makes it really hard for non 1 pm games.

Keep in mind lots of people try to sell tickets AT COST on Seahawks related groups and often local people prefer to wait till last minute for a better deal so it’s easier to sell on ticketmaster.

Ive sold tickets on this subreddit though but they are banning that.

  5. Too many season ticket holders cash in and sell and Green Bay always pays. I could have made at least $600 but went instead

  6. It’s the fact people now buy seasons tickets as a source of income now. I lump them into the slumlord category. Fuck them and fuck people that support it buy purchasing them.

Too bad the NFL is making a killing on getting a cut of the reseller fees. They have no incentive to stop it or force season ticket holders to attend at least 80% of home games or not allowed to renew.

  7. Worst part is these season ticket holders will just use their seats as a cash grab but when the team starts turning things around they’ll hold onto em… if tickets are this expensive now I wont even bother checking when they are a contender

  8. In the Premier League here in England, away fans and home fans are generally separated (yes we can’t be trusted) meaning away fans wouldn’t buy tickets from a season ticket holder in the home section because they know they’d be in for a poor experience. You get the tickets in the away section and be with your own fans.

Plus it is illegal under UK law to sell football tickets for a profit and any ticket suspected of being sold above face value can be rejected.

All these effectively kills the “season ticket as an investment” market. Maybe Seattle should try something similar.

  9. We hung out too long with our championship. Now we have to truly assess where we are as fans. I won’t back away, but to a handful their seasonal membership is gone.. similar issue I see while living here I’m PHX. Another city that can’t show up for its teams unless they’re a winner.

  10. I went to my first seahawks game on Sunday and traveled from the east coast for it. I have to say I was super disappointed in the fact there were so many green bay fans. Combine this with their play on the field and it made for an extremely disappointing trip.

  11. I don’t have season tickets, but honestly, the TV product is really really good. Why would I want to spend a ton of money to be unconformable for 5-6 hours. I would just rather watch at my nice, comfortable house.

  12. What percentage of the seats are season tickets anyway? If it’s like 50% and half of those are resold and half of those go to away fans for their one game every four years that still only accounts for like 12% of the crowd

Whatever the actual numbers i bet the bigger thing is just how easy it is in the age of the internet and ticket master to get tickets to see your team out of town. Plus in a down year the away teams are more likely to win and thus away fans are more likely to spend (especially when the media is telling them the seahawks will be an easy win all year and will cap out at 4 wins or whatever). Wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of these Packers fans bought these tickets months ago

  13. All they care about is making money . Whenever I want to go to a game the prices are so insane. In fact the Seahawks are more expensive than the 49ers stadium which is in the east bay which is the most expensive place in America . The owners got to do something about this all they are doing is buying season tickets and flipping them so they can go for half the games, doesn’t even seem like they are doing that anymore, for free or non of the games and tripling their money . If you didn’t go to this game you aren’t a fan or you had a family thing, But not that many people had “ family things”

  14. We showed up so loud in AZ a few weeks ago. It happens. Also a large amount of people don’t like downtown anymore. Remember those folks who got their windows all bashed in at a game? Doubt they will wanna go. Life happens. Seattle isn’t cheap, parking is asinine, the food is mid and pricey at the stadium.

  15. Green Bay is one of flagship teams in the league and have some of the most fans nationwide and even worldwide. This isn’t a story, there are a lot of Green Bay fans around.

  16. Because they sold the ticket 2 months ago for 150% over face value before they knew it would be the “biggest game of the year”

  17. You’re basically the Golden State Warriors but you lack a real superstar. Real fans can’t afford the tickets. The wealthier ticket holders are not from Seattle or the USA altogether and just see it as an easy way to make extra cash.

  18. Went to the Rams game at home. The guy behind me was constantly talking shit on his own team. “Geno sucks.” “Bench him.” “we are horrible,” “dk can’t catch.” Why the fuck are you here? If you hate the team so much, stay home. I thought we were supposed to try to help the team. Finally, once geno throw a td, i turned around and was like, “Is that good enough? Are you done now?” He did stop after that.

Went to the Cardinals game in az as well. Everyone was awesome, but I assume they are real fans if they travel.

  19. If tickets weren’t nearly $200 maybe I would’ve gone. But I don’t have that kind of money 🤷‍♂️

  20. Why would you go to a game to watch Geno play like trash and Grubb dial up awful plays to JSN and JSN alone, while also watching the defense be damn near lifeless as well as in a matchup we are expected to lose anyways and then if that isn’t enough also have to be stuck in traffic after? It doesn’t make sense good for them to get that bag and call it a night
