Cutting it close right now regarding keeping the pick. If they’re beating Charlotte and Toronto, then here comes terrifying thoughts of the Spurs getting our 11th-14th pick, whether it’d be by winning too many games or our pick falling in the lottery.

We going to be playin and Ayo and the others get us in second round, he’s a beast
terrifying huh
No the laws of nature say the Bulls will be 9th in the East. They will lose a play-in game and then pat themselves on the back.
It’ll be worth it!!!!!!
We’re going to be in this danger zone all year. The sixers have to get their act together eventually and pass us in the standings (right?) but besides that we’re basically stuck in this range. Maybe things fall apart if they can find someone to take Vuc
Missing out on another pick and sucking for another year doesn’t really change much.
Bulls are garbage and that won’t change as long as Jerry has a say in this.
It’s something I wish the Reinsdorf’s would be more proactive about rebuilding but all they care about it is getting the casual fans butts in seats.
Gotta dump Vuc quickly
We’ve been to close for comfort for a few weeks now, I could see Jerry look at this team and want to go for a playoffs push again. But it’s cool, I’m sure one of the best draft classes of the last 20 years will turn out to be all busts. And we’re not getting Flagg anyway, so no point in tanking right? Plus Pat will no doubt take the leap next year. Right?
Sixers would obviously finish better than the Bulls. Coz they don’t own their pick.
Pistons will also finish better, for the same reason.
Bulls will likely finish being 8th worst team in the league.
This team as is won’t keep our pick. We move vuc and Lavine and we keep it, just a matter of when front office makes moves
Our next five is Celtics-Celtics-Bucks-Hawks-Bucks. Don’t worry. Things will be looking a lot better after that run.
If we keep the pick this year, what are the protections on it next year? Do we still end up giving it to the Spurs eventually?
Bulls do have a unique opportunity to get their pick while also adding a quality player in next year’s free agency class.
My suggestion is moving Coby for expiring contract and getting a 1st round pick also move Vuc for expiring contract.
Example Coby to Atlanta for Nance and a #1 and maybe a 2nd
Vuc to the Lakers for DLo and a 2nd.
Moves like this all but guarantees you a lottery pick in this year’s draft while also getting an additional pick in top 25.
The most important factor in this is cap flexibility the Bulls would have around $40-45 million in cap space while adding two rookie contracts and Zach coming off in two years.
This team has to adjust to the new CBA rules meaning moving your assets for cap flexibility is as important as draft picks or in some cases greater.
I’m not as concerned about losing the pick as most fans seem to be. Picks out of the top 10 rarely lead to stars. If the Spurs don’t get it this year, they could still get the pick the following year. I know they say it’s a strong draft but I’m not crazy about it after the top 5 or so.
Bulls will likely be 0-5 their next 5 games. Celtics, Celtics, Bucks, Hawks, and Bucks.
If they actually win some games in that mix, then they are probably a playoff team if they can stay healthy and they don’t trade anyone.
This “we need to trade Vuc now” stuff doesn’t make sense to me. No one is offering anything for Vuc right now because the trade market just started and 34 year old centers aren’t the hottest names. Obviously, teams want to see if Vuc’s 3p% is real. Only 26 games. If he keeps it up or near his current 47.4% 3p% after the next 5 games, that starts to look more real because he would face some quality teams and be over the 30 game mark. If he starts to miss a bunch of 3s and his 3p% looks like it is dropping, then a quality offer probably doesn’t come, if one would ever come at all anyways.
This trade market is likely to suck y’all. Draft picks and young cost controlled players are even more highly valued today given the new salary rules. I think Vuc is a quality player but the lack of past offers I guess speaks volumes.
Keep buying tickets to games Bulls fans!! Embarrassing behavior by the majority of this fan base. This team is a fucking joke and should be seriously boycotted until real change happens. I know it won’t but it’s needed
Pistons and sixers will end with better records than us so there’s that at least
Don’t worry bro we’re about to play the Celtics and Bucks twice within 2 weeks so there are 4 ez losses.
People who suggest giving the pick to the Spurs in any of the next three draft. Has no idea of how good the next three drafts are 🤷🏽♂️
These are not the coby white, patrick williams, josh giddey top 8th picks.
These are legit future starters with good upside.
You land a top 3 pick in any of these drafts, you get a bonafide star. Get to 5-8 pick, you get a bonafide starter.
It would behoove the front office to try and lose the games with how great this next draft is and the possibility of losing this pick to the spurs
Like seriously, prove you can be somewhat competent, you’re literally just making terrible move after terrible move…
Looking back it’s so frustrating how AK went about this season. We knew they had too much talent to truly tank and AK thinks he’s smart enough to toe the line. The Bulls are still actively trying to win games and all their wins come from shit teams or teams tanking or teams missing key guys
Bucks (were the 2nd worst team in league at the time) Grizzlies – no Ja, no Kennard Magic- Paolo got hurt at halftime and they missed 19 threes in a row in second half fluke Hawks both times because the hawks can never beat this team
Knicks- missed a shot at buzzer Pistons wizards give me a break Nets missing half their team Spurs sitting Wemby Hornets missing Lamelo and others Raptors missing Barnes
It’s a complete fluke and every team around the league knows the bulls are the worst ran organization in the sport. All it does is set back the future for literally no reason. And the worst part is the fans on here or at the UC who get excited for absolutely fake wins
It’s December, and dopes are worrying about our draft position next June.
We’re 27 games into the season and these daily draft order threads are getting old.
They aren’t getting the pic. Trading Vuc isn’t going to do it. They’d have to trade Coby, Zach, and maybe another. The only way they get a pick in this draft is via trade.
I really wish we would just lose every game, I don’t understand it
I think they should still be able to get below the Pistons and without problem probably the sixers as long as they don’t start sitting everyone too soon
Clearly, we’re still delusional about running it back with Lavine / Vuc + Giddey. Maybe because Lonzo is back and defense was our biggest need. But our offense is certainly lacking when it matters. I don’t necessarily dig the ethics of tanking. But this is the NBA, and it’s commonplace. There’s no sane person who thinks this team is even in contention to make the second round of the playoffs.
Way too early.
The east is horrendous and the team is just good enough to host a play in game. Get used to it. Who needs the chance for a franchise player in this year’s loaded class?
Also concerning is that after we play Boston twice in a row, we’ll have the easiest schedule in the league. Bulls had a brutal opening schedule and got through it with a better record than last year’s mid team.
