  1. Well, Belichick preferred college over the NY Giants. He, supposedly, preferred the jets over the giants too. Thats sad and somethings wrong.

  2. Patricia, If Mara brings either Schoen or Daboll back, he will lose a significant part of his fan base, I predict. I think he has to start over and consult with Ernie Accorsi or someone well connected for the next GM/HC hire.

  3. Patty with all do respect stop it ….. the NY media is a shell of itself anymore. They’re just as soft as these little giants, jets and any other bum NY team. It’s 2024, it’s not the 90’s , 80’s or even 70’s. Media is afraid to ask tough questions because of the relationships they build with players, coaches and ownership. With everyone being “ free lancers “ and wanting to branch out and start their own Podcast , they want to keep those relationships in good standing so they can profit and benefit from that going forward. Every market across the US in all sports all ask the same questions. No one is “ hard “ no one asks “ tough questions “ and the NY media doesn’t eat anyone alive in a world when players and coaches can be here today and be out playing or coaching elsewhere the next day whenever they choose to. So stop . You’re living in the past if you think the NY media is tough. Lastly…… it’s because the media is so friendly that Mara and Tisch won’t feel pressured to fire Joe and Brian. If this joke was happening in Philly they both would’ve have been gone after the bye week. Media puts NO PRESSURE on the Mara’s . God forbid y’all dare to ask about Tisch….. OMG that’s the most invisible owner in all of sports.

  4. Every single NFL GM job is attractive. I’m sorry they’re just not that many of them and if you’re an executive Whose goal is to be a GM then you can’t really be that picky Because the vast majority of the jobs that are open are open because the GM did an awful job so they’re not gonna be great situations and they’re gonna be looking for you to come in and turn things around to be a fixer. The GM job for the Chiefs ain’t open for a reason.

  5. What coach worth their weight in salt will want to work for a lame duck GM? This would be just another example of the mismanagement of football operations if they fire the HC, already got rid of the “franchise QB” and then don’t fire the GM. If this actually happens, I will join the side that Mara does need to sell the team.

  6. Ultimately, the buck stops at John Mara's desk. No GM can function unless John Mara learns the lesson his father finally learned, hire a competent GM and get out of his way and that includes clearing out all the Mara family members involved in football management. No more nepotism. No more DEI hires. Only FOOTBALL hires.

  7. I like to ask a question. Are all the moves Joe Schoen has done are so bad, they have caused irreparable damage to the organization that will take years (4-5 years) to recover from? If that's the case, then I can understand. But if if all they will do is temporarily damage the team for say a year and the team can easily recover from, won't calling for his firing a overreaction from the media and fanbase because they are looking at other teams having a quick turnaround while this team had extensive damage from the poor drafting, roster building and mismanagement of the salary cap for the last 10 years…

  8. Eagles and Roseman will be very upset if Schoen fired. 2022 Schoen gifted Eagles key piece in Superbowl run by releasing all pro Bradburry bc he wouldn't accept a 5th rnd pick.
2024 not signing Saquon once again gifted Eagles all pro player key piece for Superbowl run.
Eagles did terrible in 2023 bc Schoen didn’t gift them an all pro player.
If Eagles win SB Roseman needs to thank Schoen in Lombardi speach.

  9. I do not think Joe is the GM for the job. His drafting has been questionable at best. He chose Wan’Dale over George Pickens. Banks hasn’t exactly lived up to his rookie season hype. Neil LOL. That’s all I have to say about him. Kayvon is a ghost. JMS is awful. Out of all his mid round picks, basically only McFadden has shown up besides Dru but even then he’s not as good as PFF makes him out to be. I do not trust him to make the pick for QB. He also chose against bringing in proven veterans which clearly this teams lack of leadership is in DIRE need of that. The problem with the giants is how long they give terrible GMs time to “prove themselves” when they don’t do anything besides set the team back decades.

  10. Understand Mara will not hire from outside again and Brandon Brown is packing his bags. Next GM will be Dennis Hickey via in house promotion. No thank you. I’ll give Schoen and Daboll two years. First, win more games. Then, make playoffs. If they can’t make playoffs in 2026, you fire them and the jobs look far more attractive due to the owner’s patience. You’ll have your true pick of the litter as opposed to the washed up retreads and patsy hires.

  11. Holy crap… I didn't realize it until today after I heard the Talkin Giants podcast. It is clear as day now. As ruthless as the NY sports media can be, they still toe the line. This episode just echoed the talking points from Daboll and Schoen. If you cross the line they will cut you off and that is completely obvious now. What a load of shit. Fire them all!
