Nobody ever wants to hear it, but the solution to the 3 pointer math problem is changing the points to 3 and 4.
Thursday comes before Saturday. 😉
I mean in response to ratings are down…. how easy is it to watch NBA games if you don't have cable TV ? NBA league pass: you can't watch your home team. Youtube TV is 80 bucks a month. So most people put up the jolly rogger flag and say yo ho yo ho it's not about the 3's
They don’t have a three point problem but a ball movement problem, less dribbling and iso.
If not for 3ball, Pp and Hauser would not be on this Celtic sguad.
The Nba in the late 80 and early 90 made a big deal about cleaning up the pant. The 3ball did exactly that.
In my opinion fans are longing for the return of athleticism to the NBA. People want to see dunks and blocks. In my opinion part of the problem is that players do not want to drive and dunk due to risk of injury (e.x Morant).
Steph and Golden State change the game, and won 4 Chips pep loved it. Celts has taken it to another level now its a bad thing.
#TheGoodPlace lineup was perfect and made the most sense🍀🤣
The foul shot is the highest percentage shot in the NBA.
#Sixers just need to clear the roster and start over sending #Embiid to the G-League
It’s another tool in the tool box. I do agree there are less power drives in the paint like centers (with Shaq, Robinson, etc.), but some guys hit 3’s some can’t.
ISO basketball bothers me more than the 3’s because it’s 1 guy trying to assert his will against an entire team and why when JT & JB only do so with severely advantageous matchups is it good. Otherwise, they usually turn it over or take a bad shot.
Are there more blowouts, yes. But…teams can also come back if you don’t keep on the pedal…so by mid 4th quarter it can be interesting lol
Regardless whatever they do the Celtics is the Best team in the League.. all this crying is hilarious'🤔🏀💯🍀🏆🏆💪🏾.
Keep up da tunes
Ah! Floor spacing almost right. It's not the spacing but the floor itself. It's too small. Widen the playing surface make the rthree point line a true arc (no more cheap threes). Secondly move the three point line. Bring it back a foot. If there are still too many, bring it back some more. Make the three ppint shot a real challenge! The dream that the owners would give up a row of seats to accomadate the game, what am I thinking?
After the parade antics how could you not make Sam Hauser be Jason Mendoza?
I dont know who says its not exciting. Its very exciting in my opinion and open ups the floor for any type of offensive movement including in the paint. The real problem in declining viewership is because people are watching games in clips. Especially younger people. Cant understand why because that ruins the fun of watching the game as a whole.
This whole 3 point argument just comes from people being so butthurt and helpless they’ve been wrong about the Celtics. so they wanna throw whatever at the wall and hope it sticks. Last year everyone said the celtics would die by the 3 anyway. Now that theyve seen that wont happen they’re scared. I guarantee if it was a team more likeable to these casuals blowing teams out the water constantly they wouldn’t care.
I've heard a lot about the style of play in the NBA and the 3 pointer problem. Only a few teams and for sure the Celtics are built to play that way, but most other teams aren't but still chuck up as many 3s as possible. I don't mind it as much, but it seems like most people don't like it. For the Celtics, i did wish they didn't shoot so many, but they are still at least built to play that way.
I love the 3 ball, as long as you have a team that can make them and make the extra pass to get great shots.
50%, not 60%
Agreed that the 3's spread the floor, open up lanes, and actually add to the game at least in the case of the Celtics. The real problem may very well be that players don't want to run around and give 100% on D because it doesn't make the highlights as often and/or their system is set up that way so they hide guys on D to get the most out of them on O. That's the real difference between today's game and past eras, IMO. The superstars these days are ripped but many of them don't want to move their feet beyond the usual 10' circumference and actually sweat; they just want to look cool on the floor and complain about the 3's being launched over their heads. Extreme case but Wilt played nearly 82 games in the majority of his seasons — and nearly 48 mins in those games. Wouldn't see anyone do that today. "Hey, must be the money….."
The game has and always will adjust to the landscape around it. Era's of sports rise and fall as the times go and new defensive techniques are established. My personal opinion is this. The NBA officiating from the half-court line to the three point line is in my opinion the worst refereed thing in all of American professional sports. Teams are allowed to get away with moving screen after moving screen. The slightest touch of the shooters hand, body, or landing space is three shots regardless of the shooter flopping or not. When pressed plays just bait fouls and the defender has no choice but to give them room to fire a three. But at the end of the day just like the Tush Push, Rodgers Rule, Zaza rule, it only becomes a problem when a team gets really good at it, that team happens to be the Boston Celtics.
