A Trade Proposal to Bring Luis Robert Jr. to the Reds

  1. Robert has a sky high ceiling, but has a 2 story deep florida sink hole for a floor. He’s one more hip injury away from missing a couple years

  2. Seems like a fine proposal to me. It feels a little steep on our side for someone coming off a down year and with his injury history, but prospects are just prospects. Eventually you have to cash in and try to win.

  3. As long as Burns, Lowder and Stafura aren’t involved I’m good with whatever, honestly.

  4. I get the concern over Robert injuries/ inconsistency but at some point we gotta roll the dice on guys like that unless we want to pay huge money + very long contracts in free agency.

There was a time where the front office would’ve been crucified for trading Billy Hamilton and Robert Stephenson for a guy like JD Martinez who was only good one year.

Don’t know if Robert is THE guy to roll the dice on but we need to find someone to improve the corner outfield

  5. Team control is the value here! Luis Robert gives them an upgrade, gets him motivated once out of the cesspool that is the White Sox. I would be happy to move Edwin Arroyo + Stewart + Chase Petty for him. All 3 pieces are of value and all are blocked (Elly, Collier, Burns).
