The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers released their second injury report of the week ahead of their key Thursday Night Football matchup. Like on Monday, this practice was another walk-through for the Broncos so the injury report is an estimation of what the coaches believe would have happened if it was an actual practice.
With that said, the Broncos still did receive so good news on the injury front. All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II who is dealing with a minor low ankle sprain was a full participant for the second straight practice. He appears to be good to go for Thursday Night’s game. Nose tackle D.J. Jones and running back Jaleel McLaughlin returned to practice on Tuesday after being DNP’s on Monday. This is a good sign for their status for Sunday’s game. Meanwhile, veteran defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers missed his second straight practice due to a foot injury. We’ll see if he can practice on Wednesday or if the Broncos will be without him vs. the Chargers.
The big news from this report was the return of corner Riley Moss. He was a limited participant in today’s estimated walk-through practice and it marks the first time the Broncos starting corner practiced since injuring his knee a few weeks back vs. the Raiders. He is likely a longshot to play Thursday Night, but it is a good sign for his availability for next Saturday’s game vs. the Bengals.

As for the Chargers, they come into the week a bit more banged up than the Broncos. They have a total of five players who did not participate in Tuesday’s practice. Those players are tight end Will Dissly, cornerback Cam Hart, guard Zion Johnson, defensive back Elijah Molden, and defensive lineman Otito Ogbonnia. We will have to keep an eye on the status of these five players to see if they’ll be available for Thursday Night’s game vs. the Broncos.
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert remained limited with an ankle injury as did linebacker Denzel Perryman who is dealing with a groin injury.
