Miami Heat: How is Terry Rozier the reserve working out? | Five on the Floor
Terry Rozier has now spent 10 games as a reserve, after 12 as a starter, but it seems like he’s still trying to find his right role. Is there hope for it this season? And if not, how do the Miami Heat proceed, on the court or maybe in the trade market? Ethan Skolnick and Greg Sylvander discuss Rozier’s recent play.

Jimmy, Tyler, Rozier play hero ball. Bam is passive by choice. Jaime, Highsmith, Duncan are passive not by choice. Smith is the only normal player. Just a bunch of dysfunctional parts. Christopher, Ware and Stevens have more chemistry. This team is doomed to fail. Jimmy, Bam and Herro are not working. Keep one and that's it.
Rozier is the heat’s #1 problem. Here is a list of everything that has suffered because of Rozier:
– Herro’s development last season trying to defer to get Rozier comfortable and acclimated
– Heat’s ability to make off-season moves as “Rozier was the big move” – Riley & UD
– Heat training camp wasted on Rozier as a starter
– Heat pre-season wasted on Rozier as a starter
– Jovic get blamed in the starting unit for Rozier’s bad play & getting taken out of the lineup
– the first 12 games wasted to Rozier as a starter
– Jaquez development & 6th man candidacy set aside to get Rozier into a 6th man role
– the closing lineup because they have to make Rozier still feel valued since he isn’t starting anymore but Highsmith &/or Dru should always be closing
– Jovic’s playing time & development given to Rozier
– not to mention a 1st round pick & 3 years worth of $20+ mill in salary
And yet people still acting like a “breakout is coming”… SMDH. Rozier ain’t part of the future. Eat the contract & move on to play all the guys who are part of the future
Rozier is everything that he was with Charlotte. Media people and certain fans ignored the red flags (hollow stats on a bad team where he was dominant) and convinced themselves that was a good move.
I'd take Tim Hardaway Jr. Over Rozier all day… it would be nice to see him in a heat jersey. The nostalgia of seeing the Hardaway lineage back on the team.
Just keep terry. Chalk it up to another front office mistake. Nothing new.
Only 3 assists per game from a point guard that can't shoot, under 40% from the floor and making a lot of money. Complete disaster 💩
I resisted the rozier trade since day one. Short, no d player with an empty stat sheet.
Lost a pick plus made this guy impossible to trade. Isn’t it about time to talk about a front office that has failed to build around the only alpha worth talking here?
