Morning. Question is for Russ. Sirius Dave Mccarthy had Kings writer on from the Times and mentioned this potential big trade between flyers Kings & brought up 50% retention on 1 Drew Doughty as big part of trade & Alex Turcotte. Would this tell you Cam York is part of it or Ristolinen to get money close w flyers fwd(s). Would you do Ristolinen & who would you send in a deal framed that way. Doughty is 35. Great show you two. I was praising the screen again today, lol. In the inro it sounds like Russ is twice Rachel's age. Just saying, lol. I don't blame Lappy too much for the LHV problems. Torts is just not a great communicator. He doesn't get involved with Reading as well. Why have Reading in the system if you aren't going to use them? My opinion. But. Lappy is a Torts kind of guy; stays out of his way, and is obedient. I still don't know why Torts holds so much sway with the management team. Nothing has changed since he took over as coach. It his way or the highway. Inlike the trade that Russ brought up with Z. I just don't see Z staying put for much longer. And, since they don't use Brink properly you have to move him as well. The way it currently stands is this is a patch work .500 team. We have players stuck in LHV, and a coach that is stuck in a time warp. Thanks, and keep up the good work Rachel and Russ.
Russ, where do you draw the line between getting a shooting coach for experienced NHL forwards and just getting better players. At what point do we accept what Joel Farabee is, which is a good middling forward that gets to the right areas and relys on rebounds and tip-ins to score goals. He does not do anything exceptionally well, i.e. does not have an elite shot or elite skating ability. He should not be playing on any legitimate team's top line, and that is the problem.
