1. I believe they are trying to run a ball club on the cheap. Not going to be competitive that way. Going to be a real eye opener for front office when they have disappointed an entire nation with no one going to that newly renovated ball park

16. Every single report I read seems like Blue Jays fans hate Shapkins. It’s hard to understand how they haven’t been fired and replaced at this point. Vladdy should have been resigned last offseason. Now his price has increased based on Soto’s recent deal.

    Teo was traded cause we didn’t want to resign him and now after a championship, we’re willing to offer a deal.

30. Trading Vlad doesn't have to mean a rebuild??? You can get many already MLB position players for Vlad. Why do people ASSUME all you can get for Vlad is PROSPECTS??? Even Houston in their trade with the Cubs got Issah Paredes, a power hitting veteren third baseman, and a couple of prospects. But Toronto's GM if was smart, could DEMAND 3 good MLB ready players!

34. If they trade Vlad, fans need to make it heard by refusing to attend games. Sink their attendance numbers after the hundreds of millions they put into upgrading the park, but not spending on the field. We'll see how long those 2 idiots have a job after that. If you trad vlad, you're probably losing Bo too. Whether it's him walking, or being forced to trade him too. Then nobody meaningful will want to sign here in free agency for years to come because they know it's a clown outfit where they're going to get taxed out of their minds by harsh canadian taxes.

35. No matter what happens next, a rebuild is inevitable. Vladdy isn't gonna resign. So the question is, how much of a headstart are the Jays going to have on a rebuild if they pull the trigger now, instead of midseason.

    With so little control left, I'd be amazed if the Jays gets a haul of prospects. The best the Jays can hope for at this point re: trade is a return similar to the Tucker trade. MLB ready player + top-ish prospect + lesser prospect(s).

    In any case, the Jays are f*cked and the next 5 years are going to be painful to watch.

    Oh and before doing any of that, fire the F.O.
