McShay said on his podcast the other day that the Giants’ front office loves Cam Ward, which makes more sense, IMO. I cannot see why Daboll would not prefer Ward over Sanders.
We don’t even own the #1 pick now though. We’d have to lose out and the Raiders win at least one, or we lose out and get some SOS luck.
Deion is a hype man. He’s been doing that his whole career. He’s doing his job for his son. A scout from Outlads said if Shedeurs last name was Smith he wouldn’t be a first round pick.
Whether it’s Cam or Shedeur we need to start rolling the dice. The draft has shown us you can’t always predict who will pan out, but take a shot and reload if it fails.
I don’t care about anything other than the front office and management situation. Until that’s cleaned up I expect them to fuck everything up, even with the right pieces these people will find a way to make it wrong.
I read this as him knowing either the raiders or giants are picking shadeur with the number 1 pick.
Dont want him anyway!
If the eagles have the #1 seed locked down the last week and rest everyone and we win to push us back to the 5-7 range, I will lose it.
Flop-gate
If they do draft Shedeur at least next year will be entertaining when Deion is taking shots at Daboll, Schoen and Mara all the way from Boulder lol.
I really don’t trust Deion not to stick his nose into everything and cause drama.
If people think the Giants are a laughing stock now just wait until they take Deion Sanders’ kid and add even more to this clown show. The constant criticism and second guessing of the coaches and organization through the media and social media would be the biggest sideshow ever. No fucking thank you.
Sigh… let’s do it.
I just got done listening to Dave Syversten on the inside BBI podcast. I haven’t been super hyped about either Sanders or Ward, but he spells out what I’ve recently been coming around to regarding this draft. Sy does not see Sanders as having any elite traits and feels he has an OK floor, but not a huge ceiling.
What Sy is suggesting, and I think I agree, is that they should maybe take an elite talent like Hunter/Carter/Johnson and then try to trade back up for Milroe with the understanding that he’s probably not playing this season. If you can’t get him, oh well. The 2026 QB class looks deep, and you can do what you can to land one of those guys.
Now the issue is that there’s immense pressure from fans and the media to take a QB. If Schoen wasn’t picking for his job, this could be a possible course of action. However, doubtful he’s allowed to even attempt this based on the public pressure alone.
Aiden O’Connell is expected to play this week versus a 3-11 Jaguars team. Barring setback/injury, he’ll likely finish the season as QB1. He’s significantly better than Ridder imo, so that’s good news.
Also worth noting that there is a chance that the Chargers bench their starters in week 18 versus the Raiders. If their seeding is locked up, why not rest their guys *and* potentially hurt a division rivals draft position. The Eagles could do that to us, but they’re in a 3 horse race for the 1st seed – lets hope it stays that way.
You know, if that’s going to be the circus I’d almost be ogliged to pass on Shadeur…
I’d probably want my son to be drafted by the Giants, too.
He just watched them stick with Daniel Jones for 6 years and get 110 million dollars from them.
It doesn’t matter. We’re going to beat the Colts and Eagles for no reason
Deion is both Shedur’s dad and coach. I don’t trust anything out of his mouth because both fathers and coaches would be hyping up their kid as much as possible right now
I used to be against drafting him, now I just want the best QB. If it’s Sanders, cool, if it’s Ward, fine.
Either Sanders or Ward would be an obvious upgrade. My fear is that if you draft Shadeur then your drafting Deion as well.
EDIT: Not to say Deion is going to join the organization, but the man has a very vocal presence out there. Should the Giants do anything that doesn’t completely benefit Shadeur, you can be sure Deion will broadcast it.
Honestly wish my dad was as supportive as Deion.
If Deion Sanders knows what your front office is going to do in the draft before the season even ends then you should fire your general manager
Can’t wait for Deion’s twitter to be headlining the media after every loss.
We all know the giants are going to lose out and still miss out on the no.1 pick. Who are we trying to kid?
Prime time is coming to the Giants.
Worth watching the most recent episode of Shedeur’s podcast – he really loves NY. Got custom shoes last weekend with giants colors, makes it clear he would be happy getting drafted by us and says he talked with Malik about his experience getting his words twisted in the media. Solid dude.
Giants brass might like Ward better. Or god forbid we go with Kirk Cousins and skip on drafting a QB again.
Maybe not popular. Why don’t we save some money and get an underutilized QB from another org and stack the OL?
With the number of QB hungry teams like the Jets, Titans, Browns, and maybe even the Saints, we can get a haul for the #1 or #2 pick. Pick up 1 or 2 future firsts that we can use as trade assets to move up in the draft next year or if we’re still in top 3 contention next year, to draft additional talent. The organization, coaching staff, and roster aren’t ready to support an incoming rookie QB.
Lmao it’s exactly what I want but he makes it sound so insulting 😂
Giants don’t have the top pick though no? They’ve got the 2nd. Maybe he’s a Raider then and we get Cam Ward.
Does he believe in his son more than he believed in Eli? 🤔🤔
Welcome to the circus boys
[https://www.tankathon.com/nfl/tiebreaker_rooting](https://www.tankathon.com/nfl/tiebreaker_rooting) Both teams faced the entire AFC North and NFC South Root for in week 16: **Chiefs, Rams, Titans, Dolphins, **Bucs **Double weight (basically AFC West teams to win, NFC East teams to lose)
I’m honestly starting to feel like i’ts better one of the two: – Get the first overall, tease the Raiders and trade back with them for a second round and get whoever is there between Ward and Sanders – Get the second overall and draft any of them who’s there. Aparently the second QB taken is more ready to be a star according to recent history lol
Shedeur Sanders is fool’s gold. That’s not an NFL-caliber arm.
Either way, we are getting a QB at 1 or 2. So there’s optimism the next 2 seasons and something to look forward to
Deon was one of the few media guys that backed Eli and gave him proper credit for his play. (“I believe in Eli!”, his catchphrase for him lol). He knows that the Giants organization can be a good brand for his son to become a legend at least in New York.
With the #1 pick of the NFL Draft, The New York Giants select….. Carson Beck, QB, from Georgia…. Bro if I hear this shit!!!!! I give up.
That last time I was rooting so hard for this team to start winning, it was the Super Bowl.
This has been the plan since before the season even started. No one is willing to be honest about it. Why is Saquon not here? Because he would cost a lot and mean we might win too many games. Those asking for firings for performance are completely missing the point of a lost season to have a full and proper reset.
I hate this timeline so fucking much.
I’m dubious that the giants are interested in signing up for the Deon sanders side show,
On one hand sanders feels safer and I’d hate to pass on him and he ends up being truley great, I think his floor is pretty high. But man, off pure potential/high ceiling cam just oozes it. I just can’t get the idea of ward using that rocket launcher of an arm to make insane plays with Nabers for a long time. Ward seems like a riskier pick but if he hits MAN, his ceiling is easily the highest in the draft. Gunna be interesting, I’d honestly be okay with the second pick and whoever falls to us. Rather than picking the wrong guy at one in hindsight and watching the other thrive in Vegas. Both seem infinitely more exciting than a jones led offense, as long as we pick top two we really can’t go wrong
Lose! Lose! Lose! Lose!
Ward is better
I feel bad for Shedeur being stuck with the Giants.
