And he wanna win, right?
“**Best mark:** 97 games in 1967-68 **Worst mark:** 58 games in 1956-57 **Seasons played:** 13
11-time NBA champion **Bill Russell** played 75-plus games nine times in his NBA career. He’s hurt in this exercise due to only suiting up in 48 regular-season games in his rookie season, but that wasn’t due to injury but rather because of his commitment to play in the 1956 Olympics, which didn’t end until December of that year.”
So then what is his rank if you take out this bogus rookie season where played for the Olympics?!?
Geez cmon why would you count this
I hope he doesn’t get jinxed by this.
He’s been an extremely durable player and it certainly doesn’t hurt those playoff inclusive stats that he’s been in deep playoff runs for most of his career.
Iron man
Uhh, his jersey number is 0 not 6? Are you crazy?
/s just in case
Lot of Celtics on that list.
Another reason why his per game stats don’t paint the whole picture. I think he’s clearly the 3rd best player in the league behind Jokic and Giannis
please don’t jinx my guy.
Three of the top 6 are ☘️Celtics ☘️
Lebron isn’t a modern player ? He’s at #35.
Edit: Jokic and Brown get edged out of this list because of COVID shortened seasons and Bridges should sit in the 30s but was missed somehow. Siakam sat too many games his first season but otherwise would probably be here too.
Iron man
4 Celtics in the top 10

And thats with 2 shortened Covid seasons…
It’s also cool to see other ways to look at the same sort of idea. What i mean by this is these 40 players largely benefit from having deep playoff runs while being very healthy. Though they may have fucked up their parameters.
Because another headline we saw this week was Mikal Bridges playing in 500/500 games to start his career which made me wonder why he’s not on the list. However, he’s played in 2 shortened seasons (73 and 72 games) and only made the playoffs 3 times in 6 finished seasons (22, 13, and 4 games, which tbf does average higher than being bounced 6x in the 1st round 4-6 games). At first I thought he just wouldnt have the totals with the lack of playoff games but thats not the case. He averages 79/reg season and 85.5/both. He’s at 100% games playedbfor his career and I imagine he’s probably #1 all time in least missed games with most games played (a silly record, yes, but its there).
The latter is good enough to put him on the list but hes not here? The other guy on the list at 85.5 (joe caldwell) ironically also has 6 seasons with less regular season games and less total games barely. Tatum’s game average is correctly not using the current seasons game count which suggests thats not the reason bridges is excluded.
Also OP, no need to be salty. Lebron is a modern player. If he still played like he did in 2007 then it’d be an eye rolling point but trying to exclude him to slurp tatum more is cringe. Tatum doesnt need that. So there’s 3 modern/active players
And that’s despite playing two seasons with only 72 regular season games. If those had played 9 of the additional 10 games those seasons (which lines up with the 90% of regular season games he played those years) he would be at an average of 92 games per season which would put him at #1. Crazy
