Personally i’d love it but not sure where he’d fit or if he would get back to his old self after surgery

  1. I’d love it, but wondering if there is any actual intention of going after him with the word that Mookie is working at SS. Surely it’s just for the beginning part of the season while Kim works his way back from injury!

  2. He’s cool and a baller. Also great positional versatility, which the Dodgers seem to value. I’d love to have him on the team, although that might come at the expense of Lux’s or maybe even Kike’s spot. Just my thoughts

  3. I don’t see where he fits? He’s a SS/2B with an underwhelming bat. The FO has already confirmed Mookie will be at SS, which basically indicates Lux will stay at 2B. Hypothetically they could trade Lux and move Mookie to 2B to fit in Kim, but he isn’t an upgrade over Lux offensively and will just cost more. On top of all that, we have Miggy Ro and Edman as potential backups at short and 2nd. HSK is a fun player but I don’t see how adding him makes the team better or really makes sense from a roster construction perspective. Plus they can just bring Kiké back for less

  4. I absolutely want him. Especially with how beloved he is in San Diego. This will rip the hearts right out of the fan base! Fuck the Padres 😂

  5. I want to collect all the Asians like Pokémon. Also, what if these moves by the dodgers buried the beef between Korea and Japan.

  6. After all the problems we had at shortstop last season, I’m now a believer in the Padres strategy of “sign all shortstops”. He’s injured anyway so start the season with Mookie at SS and Lux at 2B. If something doesn’t work out, Kim will be ready to move to SS or 2B.

  7. Would love to have him but with Betts coming to the INF there really is no room umless we did major shuffling.

  8. With Mookie at short, there’s no spot for him. However, there are more important matters: this will piss off the padres immensely. So, we need to make this happen.

  9. I like him for his defense, but I don’t like his offense. That’s why if we were going to get a SS, Adames was the play as Kim doesn’t add much to the offense.

  10. I don’t know why Kim is always being tied to the Dodgers. He isn’t much of an upgrade over Lux and if Lux does live up to the potential he was showing prior to his injury, it is no where close. It makes no sense to sign Kim unless the Dodgers think they can include Lux in a package somewhere to fill a larger need. But the Dodgers seem intent on keeping Lux, especially after he had a pretty solid second half last season.

  11. If its Kim at SS and put Mookie in the OF? No.

If its Kim at 2B and we can trade Lux? Yes.

  12. Basically a worse Tommy Edman.

A good infield utility player but not the same offense that Edman has shown.

I imagine he would be a bench player in LA.

  13. As a Korean-American Dodger fan who misses Chanho Park and Hyunjin Ryu, having Hyunsu Edman and Haseong Kim would be the bee’s knees.

  14. I’m in the minority but that’s a no from me.

I know we can’t have MVPs at every position, but his bat is bad and I’m not understanding the hype around him.

  15. Always liked HSK TBH. I thought he was always humble and a great player and never fit in with the bro-entitled squad of Ratis, Machadick, and Brofar. Plus, everybody knows LA has the best BBQ.
