Alright who needs to fill this out

  1. I always block people who call for Ekblad to be traded. Because it is usually people that do not know Hockey. We play aggressive on the forecheck. Our defensive players are going to get beat because we are so aggressive, we will give up goals this way. But we will score more then give up. We won the cup this way. Ekblad will continue to get beat. It would not happen as much if we played differently.

  2. I’ve always been an Ekblad fan, so there’s no reason for me to fill this out.

However, I need a similar form for Mackie. I was hating on the kid early in this season. Since then, he’s proven me completely wrong. I don’t know puck.

  3. Guys been an anchor for years. Battles back from injury after injury to help win the franchises first Cup in back to back runs. And these people want to trade this man? For shame

  4. I think it’s ridiculous with all of the hate he has received this season when he has played great throughout.

  5. I think a lot about that quote (an answer to a reddit ama from someone associated with the cats?) in response to a question re: which player gets unnecessary heat from the fans. It went something like “When the day comes that Ekblad is no longer a Panther and another guy takes his place, they [fans] will say ‘he’s good, but he’s no Ekblad”

  6. Not me, I’ve been advocating for him and knew he could succeed if he changed his game. A lot of his recent success is mainly from the way his game evolved to accommodate his decline in speed. He’s always been pretty decent at shutting guys down but he’s really improved his positioal D and he’s given up this hope of being a fancy dangle jump into the play kinda Dman. He is much more aware of his impact when he gets burned and has drastically cut that out of his game. He’s strong on pucks, breaks up fast breaks, has good ability to read seam passes and gets his stick on the ice to clear the trash in front of the net. Really happy that he took that criticism from that dipshit golfer and rather than get all pissy, he stepped the fuck up and played like a champ. He’s going to have ups and downs but he keeps fighting. Glad he’s not the whipping boy this season. He was the clear weak link for a few years. Hated the years of Yandle and Ekblad… what a turn around.

  7. He was on an absolute heater tonight.

He’s had ups and downs but has been extremely solid for most of his career, especially when you factor in injuries.

And then every once in a while he goes absolutely berserk like he did tonight. Love to see it.
