I’m glad the NFL decided to leave the Eagles out of this ridiculousness. Physically I can’t imagine what it is going to feel like for these teams after Christmas Day.

  1. “we take great precaution and concern for our players welfare and safety”

“What if we do 3 games in 11 days? Viewership for the holidays!!”

    “…I love it”

  2. AFC has it BAD if this is what they’re choosing to do. I understand playing Saturday (only 6 days between games) but then again a few days later? That’s insane. At least let them play the Giants or Raiders or something during those days lol.

  3. Saturday to Wednesday is the same as Sunday to Thursday. I still don’t fully like the idea and am glad it’s not the eagles, but it’s not any shorter than a regular Thursday game schedule.

  4. Steelers play us, ravens, and chiefs back to back to back. 3 top 5 teams in the span of 10 days. That’s disgusting, yikes man

  5. What if I told you during Christmas week you get to watch the same four teams play over and over again

  6. I get that these schedules were made a while ago and it makes sense to have the same teams involved to make it fair rest-wise, but goddamn they couldn’t have diversified the teams a bit? AFC only and two AFC North teams playing “primetime” two weeks straight…

  7. Glad the Birds aren’t a part of this, but thank God I’m not stuck with only the NBA to watch on Christmas this year.

  8. My first thought looking at the logos: It’s the chocolate bar bowl!

    Mars Bar vs Kit Kat

    Oh Henry vs Dairy Milk

    Kit Kat vs Oh Henry

  9. I think it’s also possible KC wraps up the 1 seed Saturday and doesn’t play anyone on Christmas. I could be wrong though

  10. I’m completely fine with this, can enjoy the holiday with friends and fam and not have to sweat the eagles all day. That’s why football is on Sundays bc there isn’t shit else going on and thus football gets our undivided attention, it should always be that way.

  11. Mahomes’s Christmas wish came true and he won’t have to play with due to his high ankle sprain

  12. At least it impacts only those teams and isn’t like they play another team with more rest. Still shitty but could be worse.

  13. Aren’t the college playoffs at the same day why can’t they take the odd days and not the nfl

  14. This wouldn’t be great, but I do think it’s interesting they have the same four teams. I mean, I guess they had to to give them enough time between games, but it’s still neat.

  15. I’ll be honest, the older I get the less I care about games that don’t affect the Eagles. Doubt I watch any of these.

  16. So fucking stupid. No reason for these teams to be playing on a goddam Wednesday. Let these players enjoy the holiday with their families.

  17. We really get screwed on national televised games. How da hell do schedule makers in the NFL main offices just decide “hmm let’s just balance the exposure out equally amongst the teams!” They should be giving teams like us and lions and chiefs and bills twice the amount of national time blocks as the other teams. Who wants to watch a .500 Niners and .500 Seahawks duke it out in a TNF just to see them combine for a bunch of kicks and one td?

  18. At least the PA State Champions fans will get to see how bad the Steelers really are in prime time.

  19. Do yall not recall last season? We had this x5. We played three 8 win teams within 13 day span. Went 3-0 too then you know the rest…….

  20. OMG it took me so long to realize what was happening here. Long day! But what a weird move! The NFL is a real head scratcher..

  21. When the Saturday games outdraw the CFB playoffs, and the Christmas games obliterate the NBA slate, the NFL will tout their ratings success in press releases.

Because people will watch the NFL no matter what, and that just gives the league the license to eventually get things to a 28-game, 2-game-a-week schedule by 2040.

  22. I discovered a program that tracks Roger Goodell’s thoughts! Wait, that’s weird. For some reason his only thoughts are “MONEY, MONEY, GIVE ME MONEY A LOT NOW, MORE MONEY. BETTER PRODUCT? NONSENSE! MORE MONEY”
