A mid minus team going nowhere. Is there even anyone in the minor leagues who looks like they might be a star?
Nobody. Ownership has zero interest in winning. It’s a real estate deal, that’s it.
Lou
Lou.
Nelson and Palmieri in the sense that I could see them being traded before the deadline. That would also likely firmly lock us in a top 8 draft pick slot. Pageau and Lee deals also expire end of next season so they may be players to watch as well.
The biggest factor is Lou. I am not sure we have ever been in the position we are in under him (well out of a playoff spot). If we are well out of a playoff spot near the deadline, what will his (and ownership) view be. Will they finally accept a rebuild, will they stand pat (essentially by default accepting a rebuild since players will get older and regress so we will be worse next season) or try and prolong the slide down.
Everyone!
Just Patrick Roy. Lou’s job is safe, but shit-canning the head coach if the team misses the playoffs or is struggling, is His m.o. He did it like every other year in New Jersey. He’s already done it it with Barry Trotz(stupidly) and Lane Lambert(not stupid) here.
Everyone SHOULD be. But no one actually is cause ownership doesn’t give a shit.

It should be Lou, but who knows with L&M?
Lou needs to go!!! And Lee needs to lose his position as captain! He is not a leader at all
Lou. Send his ass to mars.
Lou, but he’s really old, right? Maybe instead of firing him the owners are just waiting for the Grim Reaper.
This is fully on Lou. The fact that we would need to trade Brock and Palms is because Lou handed out terrible contracts to mid to low level players like Mayfield And Engvall. Even players we could get rid of Lou gave them either full or partial no-move and/or no-trade clauses. People look at what Lou did with the Devils decades ago and the magical run to the conference finals and think he still has it. Reality is that he was let go from the Devils and Leafs exactly for the same issues we are saddled with now. Lou surrounds himself with family members, friends and former Devils players and staff and demands absolutely loyalty. We need new leadership and clear out all the nepotism and cronyism. Lou’s time has come and gone and finally the majority of the fan base has had it and finally the best writers are starting to get brave and say it as well.
