  1. Detroit is a dangerous team. They play dirty and have little to lose. They are going to injure someone. I’m glad we won.

  2. Remember when pistons fans thought Duren is the next Dwight Howard? Kessler made him look like a g leaguer.

  3. Very elite Key game. Luckily the people who wanted him waived after the first 5 games of the season aren’t the GM

  4. I’m okay with the Jazz win on that one. Detroit was acting way too cocky and way too entitled. Jazz took it to them, and deservedly so.

  5. Feisty win on the road against a team who were desperate to beat us. It was like a playoff game, which was fun to watch. Here’s my thoughts on the guys.

John – Had less touches today but came up with a huge clutch 3 to ice the game in the corner. Had 6 turnovers but feel like not many of them were live ball which didn’t cost the team direct points. Played 36 minutes, the most on the team. Happy with his effort as always.

Lauri – Performing like the best player. Was a monster on the boards, made shots plus got to the line and made everything too.

Walker – 12 boards and 4 blocks, no turnovers and +15 on the court. Solid performance, had a really nice left handed layup off a pick and roll during the game.

Keyonte – Fantastic scoring. Still struggles with hard ball pressure but more than made up for his turnovers with his elite scoring. Big step in the right direction, maybe even two steps… but as I always say for him, the consistency is key. We’ll see how he does next game.

Collin – Absolutely on fire from 3 and played a complete game. Even with 10 turnovers it was crucial he stayed on the court. 7-9 from the line and was our highest scorer.

Micah – +13 in 11 minutes, really solid play during his minutes. Just does the basics well and didn’t make any errors.

Jordan – Couldn’t get himself going and had 4 turnovers. Still had some nice passes, the best being a behind the back assist. Got into the fight and got ejected.

Brice – Did ok during his 12 minutes. Came on, made a three then fouled his opponent on a shot which sums up how he plays. The start of the second quarter he was very bad both with the ball and defensively. Wrong inbound pass leading to a layup when he was meant to try throw it into the post led to a timeout and yelling at. Later on in the game made a nice play on the alley-oop pass. Not trusted in the fourth quarter.

Drew – 12 minutes as well, did his best but the team was getting scored on a bit when he was out there.

Johnny – Numbers don’t tell the whole story with his performance as he was a -16 in 13 minutes, however nearly all of that was in the terrible stretch at the start of the second quarter which largely was not his fault. Trusted in the fourth quarter and made a big 3 whilst defending well overall.

Coach Hardy – The first quarter won us the game and he coached it very well managing the subs perfectly. Left Collin in longer than normal because he was on fire. Micah was the first sub in with John coming out and it worked well as the guys shot lights out. Not often you win with 27 turnovers to 10 in the NBA. Team got to the line well, which seemed to be a focus for everyone. It was usually either 3 or drive aggressively to the rim. Spoke in his press conference about Detroit trying to emotionally knock us during the game and we responded well, he is proud of the guys. Overall, led a professional performance and reaction after the Clippers game which was important for us fans to see.

Next game against the Nets, hope we compete like tonight again. Would like to see an improvement when opponents press us full court to avoid those silly turnovers which we have seen all season. I’m no coach, but perhaps a strategy to dribble it up a bit and pass it straight to a big then pass it to the opposite side of the court or something.
