Before letting in Big Papi I could see the argument for keeping Bonds out – but the writers assoc has lost all moral high ground now. Time to let in Bonds and Clemons at the very least.

  1. Even buying into the ” false positives” narrative that will come up around Ortiz, or the “it was different stuff and was ok back then” stories by guys like Piazza, I bet A-rod gets in by his final ballot and it really drives home how Bonds isn’t in because he’s been a jerk to the writers not because of PEDs.

  2. You guys have got to stop letting ESPN and a bunch of writers tell you how to feel. The hall is full of cheaters, but the best player in baseball history is excluded?

There are probably a dozen players who would be in the HoF if they were nicer to reporters, and that’s stupid.

  3. 1 of 1 posts by non hall of famer harlsey will long be forgotten as irrelevant.

See, you can put non hall of famer in 99.9% of sentences and it’s pointless in all of them.

  4. They should just make a section in the hall called the steroid era. Bonds Clemens Ortiz arod etc. they can deny it all they want but that era literally saved baseball and selig 100% knew players were cheating but was ok with it due to ratings

  5. Bonds cheating or not was a cheat code. Josh Allen is a great comparison to him in terms of how dynamic he was offensively.

  6. Bonds was a first class jerk making it do nobody wanted to give him a pass. Mark McGwire, on the other hand, was a class act and I’m sad he won’t be in the hall.

  7. Fuck him, Hank Aaron is my homerun king. Bonds was a cheat and a liar. If he was nice to people, he’d be in the hall. Instead, he was a massive douche with an even bigger temper. Thus, he’s not in the HoF.
