Braves conversation with Roki Sasaki and fans. Braves: 'How much of a discount would you be willing to give us.' Sasaki replies: 'Huh?' Braves later to fans: 'Yes, We tried to sign him but we just couldn't find the right deal.'
7 days a week already includes all of sunday, so I'm not really getting what you're saying.
Would love to know his pitching stats.
I hope but they say he is west coast bound! It would be great if it happens!Braves haven't ever landed Japanese MLB guy!Fingers crossed!
I still would like to give Mark DeRosa a shot at manager.
Just the thought of this signing is hilarious to me. As much as I would love to see this wish come true. Pigs will fly before this happens. Last time the Braves signed a Japanese player was Kenshin Kawakami. That was a complete failure. Embarrassing too
According to Grant McAuley while at the winter meetings, who he said he "heard this from a couple of different places, is that the Braves I think were interested in Garrett Crochet, but from what I understand, Drake Baldwin was a sticking point for Atlanta in those negotiations in particular" and Grant stated that he puts a lot of stock in where he heard it from. So the Braves seemingly didn't want to give up Baldwin in a trade for Crochet.
