  1. i just rewatched the game this morning and he had a very bad day. Strnad was out of position, missing tackles and assignments, or over pursuing all game long. It was very disappointing to me just how poorly he played.

  2. My man was just standing like a statue in the middle of the field while recievers crossed his face. Either someone should be coming down to cover the crosser on the other side of the field. Pretty basic mesh concept… they were clearing out and running crossers underneath. Without knowing the scheme 100% he coulda had the middle of the field doing his job and no one came down for the crosser and he just happened to be the closest since he has middle of the field. Either way, this defense has a major fucking issue with mid crossers… as soon as I see QBs hit their full drop with no pressure, I’m like yup here comes a 20 yard gain to a crosser.

Edit: I’ve played madden i know what I’m talking about. There is supposed to be a little bubble in that area, just not sure whose bubble

  3. Just rewatched the game and 3 players definitely stood out in a negative way – both our ILBs Barton & Strnad as well a P.J. Locke.

KAD locked really good again, JMac had his Ups and Downs and Surtain barely got tested

  4. We were getting torched on all throws in the middle of the field and crossing routes. Not sure if that’s a Strnad problem or a DC problem.

  5. Yea dude was burnt toast in coverage. We are not a very good zone team. If we can’t get home with man blitzs, our defense becomes very average . We also have to remember Sternad was the back up coming into the season for a reason.

  6. The only other player that sucked as bad as Strnad was Barton. Couldn’t find the ball, couldn’t cover an offensive tackle if he ran a swing route and the dude got ran over for 3 yards into the endzone for a TD.

Fire #55 into the sun and play Sanders for the rest of the season.

  7. When we had Trevathan and Marshall they could both stop the run and cover the middle with their speed, we haven’t had that since. We choose LBs like it’s 2006. Our guys are serviceable but similar to Singleton a liability in passing game. Bengals is must win.

  8. Where’s the guy who kept talking about how ILB isn’t a position that matters when Singleton went down I just wanna talk

  9. When Herbert went hurry up to keep the base D ILBs on the field I knew it was going to be a long day. Once we get out from under Wilson’s contract, we can spend some money upgrading that position group.

  10. Honestly, if strnad doesn’t get that late hit roughing the passer call, that game would’ve gone different. I can understand accidentally hitting the passer when they’ve given themselves up and you’ve already committed to the tackle before the slide. It felt like there was enough time to pull back or at least try to make an athletic move to avoid the contact. From there, the penalties just kept piling

  11. Locke and Stranad almost every play were either missing tackles or out of position. And on that Herbert 3rd and 11 run, Locke tripped himself and Jmac so neither of them could get to Herbert. Safety may be high up on the list of needs this offseason

  12. We leave continent sized gaps between our defensive line and coverage behind it. Vance, once again, fails to see the obvious.

  13. Need a stud ILB, hopefully Paton can draft a gem. I like singleton but he’s not the caliber they need to be lock down

  14. He missed tackles and gave up the big penalty with the late hit on Herbert that caused a first down then turned into a TD. He shouldn’t see the field outside.of ST but needs must with our roster being so thin at ILB. He’s had a few flashes but when a team targets him like the Chargers did, he’s a genuine liability.
