So on that play shouldn't have also been illegal hands to the face or face mask call on JH??

  1. It has to do with the fingers. As a ball carrier you can stiff arm to the face mask but you can’t actually grab it. Like this pic isn’t a penalty but if he wrapped his fingers around the cage and pushed or pulled it would have been.

  2. I mean this is a very selective photo. He definitely horse collar tackled him, but I would argue when you have a hand shoved in your face it doesn’t fucking matter. Even if it’s a legal stiff arm, I don’t think you should get penalized for your neck getting snapped back and you grabbing onto whatever you can find

  3. Offensive players never get called for facemask because they are applying a “stiff arm.” It’s the dumbest thing ever. Why you are allowed to grab a guys facemask and push their neck backwards when you are the ball carrier is possibly the biggest mystery in the entire rulebook.

  4. Yeah that’s not going to get called often. Cooper definitely horse collar tackled him and it even looked like a hip drop tackle imo. Surprised they didn’t make a bigger deal about it.

  5. Big whoop. Even if they called it hands to the face on Herbert, it’s still a horse collar. The penalties would’ve just offset and they would’ve just replayed the down

  6. I’m a broncos fan and I’ve never seen as much whining after a game as this one. It’s sad, let’s all just move on.

  7. There were so many horseshit calls and no-calls in this game that this sub could post about nothing else until the Bengals game and not run out of content
