Denver Broncos Made the Right Move…

There’s been a flood of criticism about Sean Payton flexing the Broncos into a Thursday night matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, but let’s zoom out and see the bigger picture. Payton’s decision wasn’t about securing an edge in Week 15—it was about strategically shifting the advantage for Week 16. And it will work!

The Chargers had a short week to prep for us too, they have a hobbled QB who had a short week to rehab and prepare, they have a brand new coaching staff that had a short week to prepare. The short week was JUST as difficult on the Chargers as it was for us BUT the genius part is that Sean Payton set the Broncos up for three extra days of rest before a pivotal road game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He took the extra rest and prep time away from the Bengals and gave it to the Broncos. That’s a smart, forward-thinking move. Winning in the NFL isn’t just about individual games—it’s about managing the marathon. Shifting rest and preparation to our benefit against a tough AFC opponent is a calculated play, not a blunder.

Now, let’s talk Bo Nix. Scoring 27 points on the league’s top defense, with limited prep on a short week, is nothing short of remarkable. Nix is a rookie, and yes, he’s still finding his groove, but putting up more points against the Chargers than Patrick Mahomes managed all season is a testament to his upside. This is his floor—his floor! Imagine what his ceiling looks like.

The Broncos are surging toward the playoffs, and they’re doing it as a team no one wants to face. Payton’s play-calling, Nix’s growth, and the team’s resilience will trending upward.

The Broncos are positioning themselves to make serious noise in January. Keep Bo-lieving. The best is yet to come.

  1. Bonehead penalties and mystifying clock management at the end of the 1st half cost Denver that game. Bo played pretty well. The defense was atrocious.

  2. Ok…. you're beginning to piss me off ….. we're missing the point …. here's the point you're missing about why it IS Payton's fault they lost last night….. Bo got us HERE by being Bo…. 3 picks last week and even though he also had 3 td's his "moxy" got benched by the play calling…. I felt like it was every other year and it pissed me off to tie Nix's hands with the keep it short (and lose) mentality…….. it's balance that wins the game not FEAR…. if Sean let Bo play his normal game after it got intense and they lost…. so be it …….. but the play calling let me down …. I'm hoping you're wrong and they pull it together and this game was an incentive for all ESPECIALLY to those players whose penalties cost them to begin with …… flags = loss /// of yardage/// of games. I end this with … God knew more than Job … and Payton knows way more than me ….. I know I wasn't the only one who saw that LA was not running the ball and was passing the ball 80-90% of the time…. man coverage with a balanced line attack works more than looking for run when it aint gonna happen.

  3. If we had clinched the playoffs yesterday, I think we could've played Pittsburgh. Honestly, the Steelers are different beast same with the ravens during playoffs. So, I guess it's a playoff positioning to what Sean did. If we clinched 7th probably we play bills. And honestly, I feel like we can win against the Bills.

  4. The real issue with the Broncos defense isn't missing Moss, it's their inside linebackers. They can't cover or stop inside running. Strnad gave up 8 catches and was out of position on the 43-yard run in the 4th quarter

  5. I hope it comes down to the Kansas City game. I hope the Chiefs are still fighting for the first seed. If we beat the Chiefs when it counts, then we deserve to be in the playoffs.

  6. Hey Ben you have to stop being cocktail with like the Indy dude that was on live with you and The Chargers dude that you were being cocky with. Take it easy. We are a team in progress. Your confidence should not be cocky. You can be confident without acting like a kid.

  7. We shouldn’t be putting the Blame on Anyone point blank the whole Defense didn’t look like themself they beat themself up this is just a sign we will come back stronger and better and this defense needs to start looking like the defense that it was Top 1 instead of giving up TD

  8. I have all the confidence in the world for Sean. If you really watched the broncos the last 9 years then you know this team looks way different. I'm impatient like everyone else and wanna win it all now but the future looks bright!! Finally!!

  9. We needed this loss to bring us back down to earth and put chips on our shoulders with how this year has played out thts what happens after a loss we turn around get our shit back in order then ball out 4 or 5 games

  10. Our team isnt the worst. Sean isnt the worst. Our fan base is. I love my team and i will defend the team. Im sick of whiny couch coaches that dont know what its like to coach from the sidelines. Things never go according to plan. Our fans are the worst imo. Denver has overcome so much as a franchise. Our team has left a mark in the NFL and pop culture in a lot of ways. Stop crying. Were not the browns, the Jets, or Lions or any other team that doesnt even have a SB.

  11. Not to mention that the zebras MISSED a ton of calls! Defensive PI against Mims. The missed illegal hands to the face by Herbert. Instead the broncos got a horse collar call!

  12. Don't listen to this guy. He pretends to be 18 years old but he might be like 40 or 50 years old from Colorado conservative talk show radio. Check out Colin Herdcow, this guy will make you rich with betting. So far Bengals are the National favorites. Broncos do what they do best in Colorado, they CHOKE. It's the nature of the ways in Colorado. Shawn Payton should not be coaching at a mediocre level. The BBBBRrraaawwwncccos need a younger coach..

  13. Bullshit we was up 21 down there in the first half by running the ball. What are you doing? In the last three minutes steady keep running the ball. Start doing the dumb shit we’re doing passing the ball stop making excuse put it whack ass coach I’m sick of it all the fucking games we lost because he won’t run the fucking ball.

  14. In 1983 John Elway was the rookie QB, backed up by Steve DeBerg, Gary Kubiak was 3rd string. Denver had a 9-7 record. In 2 games Denver was trailing. Elway was taken out and replaced by Deberg. DeBerg won both of those games. Elway was benched and replaced by Deberg. In a game against Seattle Deberg was injured. Elway was not playing due to flu.
Gary Kubiak won the game. The broncos first winning season was in 1973. Their record was 7-5-2. Bo nix's rookie year has thus far been better than John Elway's. I certainly hope that Denver winds up with an 11-6 record this year. But even if they wind up 9-8 I believe that Bo
Nix's rookie year is a tad bit better than John Elway's rookie tear. And I anticipate many, many more good Broncos year

  15. I’m the biggest Bo Nix hyper you’ll ever meet but I’ll be honest, that ball to Marvin Mimms was one of the worst under thrown balls I’ve ever seen. Woulda really changed the momentum. Also WTF kinda drugs are the refs on. Blatant obvious pass interference. Was definetly Denver’s game to lose, but still insanely dissapointing. Still making the playoffs at 11-6 and holding that 7 seed. GO BRONCOS 💙🧡

  16. What idiot buys this guy's hoodies? They're so plain and ugly and they're way over priced.I could get literally one made for cheaper same design. So i'm sure you didn't pay for it to be copyrighted patent 😂

  17. So explain why the fourth and five why didn’t they go for it to get a first down? Why would you settle for a field goal? If you need seven points or close to it why would you settle for three points answer that question Sean Payton
The first half they were doing great running the ball they go into the locker room. They come out of the locker room with like the is like deer in the headlights. They didn’t know what to do. The guy running with the ball for the chargers. How many guys did it take before they got that one guy there you can’t blame that on Sean Payton Answer that many guys did it take to get the one. Chargers player down when he ran through five guys so explain that you can’t blame that on the head coach and the past and the furious is called that was never called the charges. God never turned his head around charger. LA chargers player never turned his head around, referee standing right there. They need to get better referees with thicker glasses or something.

  18. They will come back better than ever. We have seen it throughout the year. The team has far exceeded all expectations! Be excited. Be a Broncos fan and don't let a loss that in the end does nothing but prolong the eventual entry into the playoffs.
Ben as always thanks for your positivity mate.
    Go Broncos!

  19. We'd lose.. But, we can strick back better after loses, and thats stong 💪🏻 but the Thursday nights are soo worse for players, I get why.

Ps: dont hate the broncos, hate the chargers 😂

  20. Genius and Sean Payton should never be used in the same sentence unless you include Drew Breez. And we needed 10 days to "prep" for the Bengals a team that is 2-3 in the last 5 games…

    K.

  21. Sean Payton makes one boner move every game. Against the Browns it was that deep interception. Colts it was throwing on 3rd and 1 on your side of the field. This time it was the crap before halftime. This time it cost us. I hope Sean can take some accountability.

  22. Your wrong stop making excuses everyone knows that a division game is more important than the Cincinnati game. You had the opportunity to go up 2 games on the chargers and lock a guarantee spot in the playoffs and move up to a better playoff position.. anyone that thinks that loosing to the chargers and potentially having the last playoff spot do not know football. I see your videos all the time and I don't support them because your to much of a fan you put your emotions into what you do. Calling Payton a genius that was a dumb move putting the team on a short week I rather had played on sunday gotten this Victory over chargers and perhaps a good chance to beat the Bengals and perhaps having the better position in the playoffs. Please STOP 🛑🛑🛑🛑 MAKING EXCUSES FOR MISTAKES.

  23. We lost the game because of the missed PI call on Mimms which would have been a 40+ yard penalty and led to a score. Also the horse caller penalty when Herbert clearly facemasked our guy. At the least it should have been offsetting. And lastly the, kick they got right before halftime should have never happened. But we had that pass play that stopped the clock. That was a coaching mistake. On a close game, this is why we lost.
